  • Man this is getting insane. I only have a few bucks left for Drum Session, now Korg is coming up with iWavestation, so what do i do now? I always dreamed of having a Wavestation, oh man.

  • So iWavestation is at version 1 and at Apple for review. This is exciting stuff!

  • @Tritonman what are you gonna do, iWavestation or drums?

Drums of course. Iwave will wait til Christmas I think. I play guitar a lot more than keys and I really want the drums. Korg usually has stuff to fix after first release so they will have time to do that while I jam out on the strat to Drum Session.

  • Fuck yeah. Payday tomorrow too

  • Should be a gadget update incoming, a new baby to name.

  • Is confirmed a Gadget version of iWavestation? How is iWavestation compared to iM1?

Been reading your posts for a long while now and, I guess because of your username, I'd always assumed the opposite was true.

  • Remote hardware WS hopes dashed, I'm now hoping it will allow you to export patches as sysex that could be imported into the hardware.

Or we'll get iWavestation as a Christmas present and Gadget with iWavestation Gadget, AudioTracks and a 'Sampler' at NAMM :D

...Or they'll give us all that directly at Xmas... :p
    Sadly, high expectations lead to...

    iphone too :)
Why such a quiet release? Can't see anything on the website....
No IAA or Audiobus, how about midi?

  • Good to see it available on iPhone but it's a pity it isn't Audiobus, IAA or even Gadget compatible yet. Anyway I'm looking forward to installing this on my iPad Pro, iPad mini 4 and iPhone 6S Plus when I get home.

Also, according to the podcast, no integration with Gadget. It'll need that - and the above - for me to buy it. Can't understand why Korg would think an app so unconnected would be massively popular.

  • Manual is supposedly here https://www.korguser.net/odyssei/manual/KORG_iWAVESTATION_OM_E.pdf but it gives a 404. If anyone finds a manual outside of the app, please share.

Also... I didn't realize that the Mono/Poly was already a part of the Legacy Collection. That makes me decidedly more iOS hopeful. http://www.korg.com/us/products/software/korg_legacy_collection/page_3.php

Can't believe it won't be added soon. It was the same with IDs-10. Developed by an indie company and released through Korg maybe...

  • Is there at least some kind of sequencing and audicopy export stuff like in iPolysix and iMS 20?

  • I guess the only way to make music with iWavestation is to connect to another iPad or iPhone or Mac or PC. Hopefully Audiobus and IAA support arrives in the next update alongside Gadget

Not unlike an actual hardware Wavestation. ;)

    LOL :)

It's strange how there is nothing mentioned about iWavestation's release on Korg's website. Usually when a new app is released it is headline news on their website just like with Oddysei, iM1 and other other apps.

Also, why does the iWavestation only show up in the iPhone section of the App Store and not the iPad section. I don't know whether to wait until later in the day to purchase this.

No gadget support... Bummer :'( Hope this will implemenented in the future. For me, no gadget version, no buy.

But can't wait on demo videos :)

  • Not ideal but this does have IAA. It shows up in AUM.

I suspect Gadget will come after the fact like they did with iM1.

  • IAA and Audiobus but not AU

  • This does show up in AB too.
None of the Korgs are AU yet.
