    One thought on resampling....
Is it possible to make a loopback cable to go in the headphone socket that loops the output to the input without any crosstalk ?
Perhaps @u0421793 would have some idea ? I am in no way an electronics engineer but is it not just a matter of matching the input and output impedences ?

It would certainly be possible to hook up a cable out of adaptors you could purchase from china, but I'm not sure it'd be a good idea. Wouldn't the output carry some of the input under many circumstances? Unless you were to monitor it blind, and keep it that way for a while, you'd open yourself up to the possibility of feedback.

    Try one of these:
    https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/112061790549
That'll give you the mic on one jack (mono) and headphones on another jack (stereo) (presumably) (I've got one upstairs) (I should try and test it) (maybe one day). Then you could complete the loop yourself but the mic input will need attenuation from headphone level down to mic again (eg, twin the headphones together with a 10K resistor pair, take the feed from the centre of that and put it through a potential divider such as another 10K resistor in series with a 2K7 to ground, and take the mic signal from the junction in the middle of those two.) (just making those numbers up from the top of my head by the way, haven't tried it, but you'd get something - either a bit too high or a bit too low or you might be lucky, who knows).

[Edit] - wait, what am I talking about? IF you monitor it blind, there's no audio, so what's the point.

I got several (different types) of them but never got them working on iDevices. Worked with Samsung and HTC. Weird thing is that iRIG stuff that uses the same principle works just fine on iDevices.

Mess with sounds in Blocs. Send them all to AudioShare. Import what you want into Gadget. It's so easy. I can see most my ideas starting in Blocs and then just going to Gadget to take further. If I ever get something I really like, then I can take it to Auria Pro.

I look at iOS production this way: my main "final", to be mixed multitrack DAW format is Auria Pro. But I dig Cubasis, AUM and now Gadget to spark ideas from or to just have as another color. Plus, if a track takes shape & is finished or complete in Cubasis or Gadget cool, I'll just master/shine it up in Auria. @Fruitbat1919 is spot on, I see the whole iOS music app as a huge palette & canvas with no hard rules.

I never went in for Gadget because of the total MIDI-ness of it for a long time, skipping quite a few sales. But I bit this time and have really been impressed. It won't take over Auria as my main DAW but some of the sounds in the Gadgets are so good I am more than pleased just to have them.

I knew there was some IAP Gadgets but didn't know the app specific Gadget versions of the Korg apps we're not for sale too. Very clever of Korg to make rhose accessible only after the main app is purchased. I am not in a hurry but my Appoholism certainly kicked in thinking "okay, I'd have Module standalone, plus 5 new Gadgets!" over and over, the completist in me is going to bust my ass out.

Dig the Ableton Link but as has been repeatedly stated, Audiobus or at the very least IAA is sorely needed. I don't expect Korg to have AU functionality at the ready right away (even though the Mac version sets the table for that to happen), but Audiobus should be here at the least. They may be trying to wrangle in and preserve the 'all in one' asthetic but Korg has to know they'll sell more apps if we can do more rather than less. AU plugin capability, like the Mac version has with VST's already, will do more to help Korg than hurt it.

  • Sorry if it's already been mentioned here, but does anybody besides me wish Zurich and Rosario had a noisegate?

Do you mean as an AB output? It works as an AB input. It's listed as KORG Gadget, not Gadget, in case you overlooked it.

Maybe @JRSIV meant Audiobus multi outs. Been dying for gadget to implement that for ages. That being said audioshare export has kept me happy for now :)

  • Anyone having Bluetooth problems?. Not working on my iPad Air 1 with gadget, but other apps fine. iPad Pro having no problems, both with latest IOS.

Rosario has a basic noise gate: check the NR SENSE knob. You do loose some volume when use extreme noise gate settings. I agree, Zurich could use a noise gate too.

If you're talking about Bluetooth headphones or speakers then yes

There are a couple other mini bugs including the multiple bar copy not working as intended. I've also had some graphical flickering. I expect we'll get another update soon.

@telecharge Thanks brother, I have been burned before by not looking under the possible names an app can be listed as in AB. Very cool.

@gonekrazy3000 is right too, I was bummed about Gadget not having multi-outs/AB output but wanted AB input more than anything. I can see using Gadget as a quasi sound module with all of the badass gadgets included so seeing that's possible is really exciting.

AudioShare functionality for output & export will more than suffice for now, that AB input though is excellent.

Excellent stuff. A weekend treat! :)

  • Anyone know it the audio in the audio track backs up to icloud and can be opened on multiple devices?

  • Can someone tell me how do you record audio into Zurich or Rosario?..... From another Gadget app or non Gadget app...

I mean "clean" (line) recording, not from iPad microphone....I can't find any way to enable audio in...

    Thanks

I´m the only one (could be for sure) that find f.e. Garage Band much much better optimized for a multi-touch device.
Beside the XY pads there is not much i find really well for multi-touch in Gadget.
I mean at least in the iPhone version so far.
Sorry, but i still wait for to go on board to the hype train. Missed it.
I heard so much praise about it but it has so many flaws and missing standard features.
    Well, i will try again.

It's not a hype train. It's a quality app that many people have and enjoy. That doesn't mean it's right for you. Perhaps GarageBand is a better fit for your use case.

I like GarageBand, too, but it sucks for connecting with other apps.

I've gone with GarageBand as a primary, with the hope that connectivity with other apps will increasingly be facilitated by AUv3. Here's hoping that the fact that Gadget instruments are AU on the desktop means that at some point the same will occur on iOS

    I have one...Zoom u24..

I can see audio in the input, (on the left) but nothing in output, playing a drum machine and trying to record into Zurich, same track or scene....

that's my hope to. I've been taking the audio files once bounced and mixing them in GarageBand. It's a good 1 two punch.

Nope, mine show today. I do know what date represents, it happens a time stamp isn't present or is reset. But I don't know why it is happening for you. Maybe restart your device?

  • ^^ Wow 1970 - Korg really is going for some Old Skool sounds

  • when you upload a track to wifi enable (little arrow in open dialogue) it opens correctly on another device, sends all audio recorded in zurich. Don't know if this means that samples imported to bilbao will now do this too rather than manually adding the same samples.

I haven't tested if Bilbao sync as well, but in the Bilbao audio import list you have the same cloud icon in the user sample list, so I assume you can at least do it manually.
