I am suffering of a "regular app store refreshing syndrome" at the moment, regarding this update. @brambos any more info on the targeted release date ?

    This sounds very familiar :D

  • I seem to remember the commercial with mother and daughter on a small yacht and mother saying gaily "But we all want to feel refreshed darling..." Never really understood what they were talking about before iOS.

  • Working on the last loose ends. It's a matter of a few days now.

The level at which today's commercials get into people's "personal" maladies in fairly extreme detail (colo-rectal health and erectile dysfunction anyone?) makes me uncomfortable. :|

I promise I won't do that for this release.

But will I still be able to swim, play tennis, horseback ride, and all of those other lady activities that befuddled me as a child? ;)

  • As a french speaking guy, I had to read some of the comments in YT to understand what the fuck is going on here...now I regret it

  • Almost ready... I think I may be able to send both Ruismakers off for review tomorrow.

Cool, are the manuals already done? ;)
(I'm over-eager to know how the sequencer works hehe).

I guess exporting as *.wav works as well as it does in TroubleMaker too?

I'll update the manuals while waiting for Apple to review the apps, so not yet.

WAV export uses exactly the same code as I'm using for Troublemaker and Ripplemaker, so that should work seamlessly.

The Euclidean sequencer is actually pretty simple to describe: for each drum channel...

    • select the number of 16th steps (1..32)
    • choose the number of 'beats' (triggered notes), which will be distributed over the available steps using Euclid's algorithm
    • rotate/shift the pattern to reposition your beats
    • select the number of accents (off, every beat, every 2nd beat, every 3rd beat, etc.)
    • set the probability % that the hit will do the opposite of what it was programmed to do

You can toggle "Loop Sync" to switch between a looping pattern (length determined by the longest channel) or free-running polyrhythm mode.

Hope that already makes some sense ;)

Yeah, and I take for granted that it's possible to manually add & remove hits too :)

Nope. No manual edits. It's a pure Euclidean sequencer.

  • great, looking forward to it :)

  • Keep up the good work @brambos ! I hope to see more new apps from you in the future, with sequencer and all. :)

  • I'd buy Ruismaker crystals, even if I couldn't purchase anything with them.

  • nice B)
App store reviews seem painfully slow at the moment, hope they speed up a bit.
