Congrats....
Will grab them both tonight...
Edit.. That should complete my Brambos Collection... I think
Just had the Ruismaker update show up, but it just says "minor housekeeping"
Was it supposed to have a sequencer now?
EDIT: never mind, App Store weirdness. They showed up 3 times consecutively after updating, then the 4th time it showed the available update it was the one with sequencer
Got 'em!
I'm going on my lunch break right now...
Are you sure that wasn't a Troublemaker update? What version is it showing, it should definitely be 2.0 (just doublechecked in iTunes Connect).
They're heeeerrrreeee!
It's all good. App Store weirdness. They showed up 3 times consecutively after updating, then the 4th time it showed the available update it was the one with sequencer
Ruismaker updated. Not yet seeing Ruismaker FM...
Fan-bloody-tastic! Thank you for such a great addition!
Wow, these are great!
OK - RS FM now updated!
Brilliant, so easy to come up with great rhythms
Gave a quick try to non fm version(fm didnt show in my store yet), and wow. I didnt really understand what this euclidean(or what ever it was) sequencer is(and thought it was normal step sequencer), but this thing was a nice surprise.
2 mins amazing
Audiobus preset 'Ruismaker Euclidean Mixup': http://preset.audiob.us/AiPc26SyBExYdyD
Oh WOW! It took me a few minutes to figure out how the sequencer works, but it's actually brilliant in both its simplicity AND potential complexity.
Bravo @brambos & Muchas Gracias!
Which one should I get?
You know the answer to that - both, of course!
Yes.
Ruismaker if you just can't bear to part with the equivalent price of a coffee.
Yeah.. I really enjoy playing with it myself. Once the Euclidean concept clicks it's a real hoot (and it's surprising how many 'conventional' drum patterns can also be recreated using just those few simple parameters).
I think there's enough difference in sound to definitely warrant having both, especially for such a low price and this spectacular new sequencer added. I'd have a hard time picking one over the other to be candid.
Also, I have no knowledge of this, but I'd be surprised if the price doesn't go up on both of these. Might want to grab them now while they're basically still at "launch-level" pricing.
Will Phasemaker get one too? Doesn't seem necessary really, but I'm just curious.
I thought one was geared towards those that want presets and fm for those that wanna make their own drum sounds. Was gonna get Strings Ensamnle for BH but missed the sale by a few hours. I prolly go for FM then get RM.
I'm really pleased you also allowed the midi and audio to be active at the same time in AB3, this allows to add some really interesting layers of synth rhythms with the Ruismaker drums
As a non-musician I can only attempt a novice description of the difference in sound. To me, Ruismaker sounds generally more organic and more similar to actual drums. And FM has more of an abstract percussive sound with more of an electronic acidic edge.
Yes they are!
Can't wait to dive in to these. Thanks @brambos . A generous and exciting update.
What a great AU day. Just downloaded
Bill and Ted should have kidnapped Euclid to be the drummer in Wyld Stallyns. Maybe they did?
You can get more "808" and "909" + other classic drum machine sounds quicker with Ruismaker. FM is great for build your own type of sounds. I use FM a lot for snares since I seem to be able to nail electronic drum snare sounds that I'm looking for with it better.
Good stuff @brambos!
Now to figure out best way to import those Euclidean midi patterns into BM3...
