I'm still not convinced that I should update my Mini 2. But I'm still compelled to follow this topic.

I wouldnt do it. My iPad Air will remain iOS 10.33.
I’ve seen speed tests on YouTube and the iPhone 6s is the first generation that gained speed with iOS 11. Older versions was remarkably slower. And the new AppStore is useless...
    cheers.

Thanks for the info. From everything I've read so far, I haven't seen any benefit other than gaining a bit of extra storage space. My Mini 2 is only 16gb. I'd rather delete some apps if I needed more space. None of the new features appeal to me or enhance the music making experience. So I'm gonna stay with 10.33. I just hope Apple doesn't start forcing the download like it kept doing when I was on iOS 9. Having to delete it every few weeks was getting annoying.

Yeah, that’s really annoying, especially on a desktop Mac, it makes me slightly crazy

Does anybody know if the apogee quartet still works with ios 11?
    Thanks!

  • All seems fine here music app wise. It's just the awful App Store that's bugging me!

Has anyone had this...App Store keeps refreshing every second so you can't type anything in search or download updates etc. Rebooting didn't help.

I found a solution which was to sign out of the app store and sign back in again!

  • AppStore is very slow when updating, especially on the mini 4 and the SE. I don’t know what bothers people with the new design, though. I think it’s alright. And I like the separation of games and apps. The dock is my favourite improvement on iOS 11 so far.

Settings, music, turn off show Apple Music @gusgranite

Thank you! I think that has done it.

YW, I just kind of stumbled on it and it seemed to work for me..

What is this Apple Music everyone is talking about, it doesn’t pop up get it even if I try (lol)

  • I like most of it so far. although no improvements to dock on SE as far as I can see. I'm not keen on new appstore logo though, think it's worse.

I initially found it hideous during the beta, but it has inexplicably grown on me over time

  • I actually quite like the new App Store. On the flip side, Audiobus 3 & Audiobus Remote are non functional for me in iOS11 (thankfully being looked into) and my Air2 needs restarting occasionally to accept charging from the high power output of my iCA4+

  • AB3 is fundamental for my workflow, so I'm staying put until an update is out.
