  • I just bought this, and I've only briefly tested out a few of the presets, but I like what I hear. It was still on sale, so I grabbed it.

I don't mind the app size at all. I have a 256 GB iPad, so no worries here. I'll take sound quality and preset quantity number over app size savings and sound compromises any day of the week. I want iPad apps to be identical or as close to their desktop counterpart as possible.

I don't care if an app takes 10GB of space, if it sounds great and is useful.

I have to admit that I was slightly hesitant when I saw the name of the dev, because I don't make any music that is even remotely close to gospel music, but these bass sounds are useful for basically any kind of style, and even though I've only skimmed the surface, I've already come across several that I liked. I imagine that I will find quite a few more when I get the time to explore it fully.

When I first encountered this dev I wasn't sure either for the same reason but man, he's got an ear like only a few do and really knows how to nail down a sound (I think it's his super power lol)... if you like this app def check out his other app Neo-soul studio too if you haven't already , he really knows how to get the sound he's going for!

This is my first encounter, but I will be checking out the other one you mentioned also. Thanks.

  • Just bought this beauty... Incredible.

  • Universal version landed on my iPhone today. THANK YOU @GospelMusicians! This is the one I've been waiting for.

  • Man, the same thing happened with Neo-Soul Keys for iPhone. As an iPhone only user who has watched this forum rave over these apps while sitting in the corner in hope of universal, it really is bittersweet to see it happen the day after a sale. Again.
I just picked up Neo-Soul Keys Studio 3 and would have got this now too. I’ll just have wait another 4 months in the corner until the next sale. Still stings for an Audiobus member and appsliced addict.

I know it’s a great dev, but the truth is I’ll probably miss only a few days of use anyway. I buy more than I use, so I’m still showing support by purchasing, even on sale.

  • Did you know that Pure Synth Platinum, which includes an IAP for Bassalicious 1&2, has been universal for a few months?

  • Interesting. Going to be hard to persuade me though, as I’ve fallen in love with Audiokit’s Sub 808 bass app. Anyone care to enlighten me as to what makes this one better?

  • FM tines is universal now as well

  • Even more, the reason to be able to store the content on an external drive, now.

Or.. did I miss that update.?

  • Am I a Gospel Musicians nut because the first thing I did when I got my new 128gb iPhone was download all the Pure Synth patches? I’ve since unloaded them and got the universal FM Tines & BASSalicious 2. And yes I just bought Neo Soul Studio at full price because I want to give these guys maximum support. Somebody call appoholics anonymous for me please.

  • This is awesome as my phone has way more storage than my iPad!

However, I own Bassalicious 2 and FM Tines on IPad, but when I try to download them on my phone it wants to charge me full price for each.

How do I get the AppStore on the iPhone to recognize I already own these?

Just go through the entire process as if you are buying it. At the very last stage, it'll say that you already own a version of the app and do you want to download it for free. You will not be charged.

It's just App Store lameness when an app goes universal that wasn't originally launched that way.

(P.S. the only way you would be charged is if you were signed into different Apple ID's on the two devices.)

    That worked, thank you!!

  • @wim @fonto76 oh that wonderful adrenaline rush.... thank you, Apple :)

  • Is there anyway to take a saved preset from BASSalicious 2 and import it into pure synth since it has the same library now? No need to have the double the apps on iPad. But recreating them in pure synth is not the same. Would love to be able to load the presets into pure synth as is. Any ideas?

I'm having some issues with the AU, sometimes it doesn't restore the state once I close the plugin window, and today it wasn't rendering along with the rest of the tracks in NS2.. all the track were working OK before render, but then the Bassalicious 2 track is not in the mix. I had to replace it with another instrument.
Has anyone experienced something like this?
