Yeah me too, those automations made me drool! LOL

  • Nice video but just not my style at all. I will still wait. That and I am sure more apps are about to drop with Namm and all..

Korg's FAQ says it's not currently AB-supported but that's in the works, so count me in on this one

  • One could spend some time mastering the stuff and get ready for the bus connection

  • The portrait mode combined with layout and the lightweight ipad air, make this a joy to use.
Everything is within reach and where you want it to be.

Not showing up on AB yet tho...

How's the CPU/ram behaving on air

  • I don't understand. Is the current price $28.99 = 25% of real price ???

+1 on that question. iOS 7.1 isn't far away now, and from what I've gathered Apple has been working hard on the memory issues. So hopefully it'll get better (hard to imagine this running in Audiobus into another huge DAW app without stability issues, but who knows)

  • Can you slap a compressor on the drums, drop a distortion effect on random unit, and so on? I can't find any proper info from Korg about all that

If it's 25% it means has a discount of 25% so the actual price is the 75% of regular price, so divide the sale price by 0,75.

Just imagine that regular price is 100$ and now is 75$ (25% off).

  • this looks great! just downloaded had a play ipad2 not liking it after 5 tracks but the freeze option sorts that... really good! (time to start thinking about getting me a new ipad though)

  • Thanks @fjcblanco. Stupid me focused on 25% and didn't see the rest. At least they didn't write "off" with a small font :)

Since 28,99$/0,75 is 38,65$ I don't think 25% is the exact discount. Probably the regular price will be about 38,99$ or so.

    Maybe

  • Each unit has a shed load of effects.
    London..the first instrument is a drum machine.you can add ...bypass,peak eq,2 band eq,lpf,hpf,bpf,comb filter,filter,tube driver,compressor and about another 15 effects

Haven't got to the others yet

CPU at the moment is good.

  • Crap...I caved in and got it :( :)

  • haha i like that will give you project names at random! 'diclinious fart' whattttt?!

  • We'll dang... this one is lookin hard to resist. Need to know if it will render/export separate audio and MIDI per gadget/track.

Haha, feels like a 'ground control to major Tom' situation. We're on earth and you're flying a spaceship relying info on controls and engines.

  • CPU is good on Air - I am running 14 machines / tracks across 36 scenes with no issues.

  • I love the different names for the sound modules.
Some are simple others can be complex like the ambient generator.
Recording parameter changes can be recorded and edited easily. Reminds me a bit of Figure.

Now one of the many awesome features is freezing a track. It´s very easy and fast on an Ipad 4.
A CPU meter is missing or i´m not seeing it yet.
Freezing 2 bars will just freeze these 2 bars. Sounds like something you would expect but when turning a new module into 4 bars you get silence from the frozen track after 2 bars.
I would wish for that it automatically expands the frozen track to match the total number of bars for the scene.
But that is just a very minor stumbling block.

Caustic3 came to mind but this is just the asian take on this orion approach.

What´s really cool is the soundcloud sharing.
I guess you could quickly push your soundcloud plays by submitting some tracks quickly now.

There are many fx modules for the sound modules but it seems there is only one aux send with a hardwired reverb with no parameters.
I have not found a sidechain option yet though some sound modules have parameters that sound similar to a sidechain compressor.
But recording parameter changes into the clips is so easy and fast that sidechaining can be simulated by turning a knob to the beat.

    Back to grooving now :-)

  • Bought it too. The Brussels Mono Anthem Synth is a killer !!!!!!!! You have to try it out. No more light. No more sleep. We are all going to become music zombies... Thank you korg for that.

The sequencer has a toggle - full or half screen. Talking about small details.

My thoughts exactly. Bound to be IAPs down the line.

  • I so do not need this..............really..........It's a long weekend here.....it will give me something to play with....it's not a huge amount of money.......

    Justified and downloading!

  • Korg have made some ridiculously poor guitar fx stomp boxes but one has to respect them for being creative. Ms20, Electribes, kaoss pads, kaossilator, volcas and now all the ios shit. Man I'm about to become a fanboy.

  • I blame the finger. She did it. Not me. Shame on you. Buy, buy ,buy. Never again. no. maybe not until another gadget comes out. maybe,,,,,,,AHHHHH

I liked tabletop until it got all glitchy on me after adding impc and imini. Latest update didn't sort it out. I honestly hope this one is not gonna rot in that manner. I likish korg but absolutely dislike retronyms.
