  • Ok ya'll how about my question again? Are scales user definable like animoog/megellan, or is it just a list of scales to choose from, or is it both?

  • Not like Ani...just a list

@supedom - I didn't have any problem connecting my Qunexus. No midi settings in Gadget, so I assume it is looking for channel 1 or Omni. I only tried it with three gadgets...Chicago, Marseilles, and London, and all worked well.

  • Does anyone have any data on how this works with the original iPad mini? I find it hard to believe that it can only run five tracks.

  • Midi in works also. You have to turn on background audio in ipad settings.

  • Ok, it works in omni mode. I had to restart the app for my mpk mini to be recognized. No midi learn for assigning knobs. Hope they add it in the next update. Also individual channels per device would be nice.

Virtual midi in works also. Tried it with Chordy.

    +1 on this

Chaing Mai synth is wonderful, on my first go-round this one might be my favorite Korg tone ever.

The Brussels synth is straight-up comedy. Had to watch some Jumpstyle dance vids for a minute after that one!

Also on the first go-round, I actually liked the sequencer way more than expected. Still haven't had a chance to see if it sends the MIDI elsewhere though (had to go to work, haha).

  • Off to download now......no will power :(

Interesting to see how much interest this app has generated over the last day on the AudioBus Forum - and it doesn't even have AudioBus :-)

I wonder why they didn't launch it with AB (seeing as they have said they will add it) ?

    One word: NAMM :-)

Yes - I had the same trouble - seems like the groceries, gas and stove wood are going to have to wait ;-)

$30 for groceries, gas, wood? Sheesh! its cheap where you live :)

See my original post ;-) one of those - not all of them and only part of each. Equivalents ya' know. $30 vs. what of each of these... Anyhow - they all lost :-)

  • I must say the preset list is spot on on each device. How many times I found myself looking for THAT bass or THAT pad. Here I dial it and it sound good. They even have a mellotron emu in the marseille. Electric pianos sound decent for something to use in the mix. Now need to find a way to load samples into Amsterdam (if possible) and find a stand that doesn't jam midi keyboard lead in a freaking portrait mode. All for the good cause. :)

  • It's not possible to load sample, maybe they will add this function later.

  • Can I use a midi keyboard to play the synths

  • Aside from the lack of landscape mode - which makes playing the synths a bit cramped - this is fantastic!

  • @Doug, you have to restart app with keyboard plugged in to get it to connect. After initial connect, it connects consistently.

Appaholics unlimited. This is one app the soundtestroom does need to do to get people to buy it.
£20 gone just like that. Back in the day this would have cost £1000 so just buy it.

  • For those in the UK. 99p store sells wire ipad stands with tightening nuts on both sides. They can be easily modified to accommodate ipad in portrait mode when using korg gadget with midi controller connected so the cck cable doesn't get trapped under the machine. I bought several of them already and they're good

  • Still resisting ....

  • Great sounds, but the lack of landscape mode is a nuisance for those of us who use a dock.

  • Does anyone know about performance on Ipad 2? Is it really 5 tracks?

Sure looks pretty, but haven't heard anything I can't produce with what I already have.

  • I wouldn't say I'm resisting so much as not got around to buying it yet. But I am sorely tempted - a choice of Korg synths for £20! Even if there are some there that I personally will never use, that still leaves a lot of scope.

  • Once audiobus is brought on board with an update things will get a little better as far as 5 tracks . You could at least mix down 5 to 1 and then add five more and so on. I plan on recording into reaper with it also. Yes there will more than likely be limitations but the sound is so freaking awesome that I can live with that if I use my noodle until I upgrade my Ipad situation. Tis is going to be a real handy tool to have in your arsenal even with that limitation. 8 tracks with freezing and perhaps a couple more depending on complexity and length I am hearing anyway. I have really not had time to give it the workout it needs.
