Well, its not only about money for me! How will this fit in my current workflow?!

    Just use force

  • Anyone have an Ipad mini tried this yet??

  • must resist. I must resist...I am already weakening, damn...

  • a link from discchord page for samples of sounds for all the gadgets:

    I'm sold.

  • Damn it all, I will admit it, I am a Korg slut.. Gonna do it I think.

    LOL. Yea this. ^

  • @ChrisG you liking it? I have a BIG smile over this one.

  • I'm a Korg slut too. One of the PCM units in there reminds me of my old Korg Trinity. Really miss that old keyboard. I got so many floppy disks with Trinity tracks around I really hope Korg one day "ports" that sucker over to software which can read Trinity formats...

Haven't opened it yet, downloaded while watching a show. It's getting late here, so either I wait til tomorrow, or boot it up now and look like a zombie tomorrow :)

  • Zombie : )

  • The world could always use a few more zombies I say....

  • You got more self control than me. I am just back from travelling around the UK on business since Monday and I am knackered but tonight Gadget is my go to toy (I mean serious music app). Haha

  • Judging Korg by their guitar fx is a bit silly, I must say....

  • Couldn't care less about gadget when i think about all the iOS alternatives for minute.Half a minute. It seems i'm the only one :)

  • Can anyone expand on how the sequencer works. Is it a straight linear affair or can you trigger loops or sections for each instrument in real time?

Only ask because the second video looked as if there was some real time manipulation going on in there?

Presumably automation can both be drawn and recorded? Does this include effects automation?

    oh get over yourself

I see him using one shot and loop in play mode yes indeed. Interesting...

  • No sampler device or the ability to record/load samples?

  • Yes, cut, copy, paste, run each section at different lengths, alter timing, play mode and automate to your hearts content. Pretty powerful stuff.

  • Time signatures? Is everything in 4/4?

  • I was hoping for a iOS M1, but I jumped on this as I quite like what korg is up too these days (got the 3 volca's and I absolutely love them)
This seems fun, and I'm really enjoying some of the sounds and workflows.
Has anyone else noticed the "user" bank in the Marseille PCM gadget (I love the under-estimated name for the synth channels : gadgets) : it's empty and nothing about it in the manual yet...
Anyway, I'm diving into it again, too much to try (and it does make me think of caustic 3 quite a bit [that I very much enjoy too])

  • Sounds good!

Still resisting just now but we'll see what the morning brings!

It's got a lot of wow potential - I'll give it that - and it's a LOT of bang for the buck - but I haven't pulled the trigger yet. Still thinking about it - whether as others have said it fits in the workflow. Some things are not my style. Some things just plain are. So, it's a mixture of attractiveness. And with so many other great iOS synths already. Hmmm. Hmmmm. What should I do ;-) Let's see - what else could I buy for that money...? Hmmmm. Half a tank of gas? A few groceries? 6 bundles of wood for the stove in this freezing weather...? Toughie... ;-)

  • @yowza nope, tweak time signatures too so not tied to 4/4

Did someone judge Korg by their guitar fx? (Former ielectribe, kaossilator, kaossilator pro, kp3, current ims20, ielectribe, gadgets owner).

Caustic getting the beating, I like that.

  • Can someone shed light on how this handles exporting? Can you output each track separately?

I hear you can load soundfonts into it. Not sure of what other formats.
