Tried Electrokeys + Rozeta Bassline - had to turn off pre midi fx which was on by default (top left - midi tab) in order to get this to record in the timeline.. it worked.. then tried Riffer (which somehow had 2 AU versions?) and recorded that to a clip slot.. it worked too.. just power off the midi fx when you playback and it’s all good.. don’t forget to power it back on when you record again.. already did that a couple times.. Ha!

Scan for new plugins completes without issue. Rescan all crashes after the 5th plugin every time. [edit: on iPad Air 2. On iPhone 7 it completes either way. IOS 13.4 on both.]
What’s the 5th plugin? Any way of telling? Are you seeing name or just number?
Working fine for me in all aspects so far. New reverb is nice. UI seems quicker.
Mine crashed on KASPAR as far as i could tell.
Still having issues with certain midiFX not even playing back
All of Pagefall, cykle,StepPolyArp and Thesys wont even playback...
Oh well at least Roland is trying and it could be these plugins.... but they work in everything else.

Damn, this thing is really coming along! It’s almost my favorite DAW at this point, certainly the most useful, by a long shot. Track freeze is a life-saver for my poor ol’ Air 2.
I’m pretty sure it’s Kaspar. That was the last I see during the scan before the crash, and it doesn’t show up in the plugins list.
I just noticed the Add Sub-tracks feature. How long has that sweet little gem been hiding there??
Anyone tried sequencing external synth with Zenbeats?
Some improvement there, it has been a while since I didn’t launch Zenbeats. Anybody is able to use virtual midi? For example playing instruments via other apps like IFretlessbass? Only virtual port available is network session.
I temporarily deleted Kaspar and the full plugin scan completes now.
An iOS/iPadOS version of this would be sweet though...

To confirm whether that is the problem or not, gathering info for a bug report. Also to get the info out there for the inevitable questions of people reporting crashes to desktop, since I assume new users that happen to have Kaspar will run into that and be unable to get past it since a new install is going to do a full scan. They won’t have the option to do a partial scan because they’ll crash before they get that option.
Also to see if a full scan fixed the problem of AU parameters not showing up. It didn’t.

Is it 2.99 a month @Samu? for the core? After 30 days.
For editing and saving patches the $9.99 per month is needed as only the Zenology Pro allows saving patches.
On top of that there is no life time key for Zenology Pro.
Too bad there's no 'hardware unlock' as I would be happy to get the MC-101 to unlock a lifetime key for Zenology Pro.
Another option would be if Roland ports Zenology and includes it in ZenBeats for iOS/iPadOS...

Yes, absolutely! It’s great. I’m sequencing my Sub37, Access Virus, as well as eurorack drums and synth voices all at the same time. I had high hopes for this before Roland got a hold of it, but the MIDI routing was limited. Now it’s great.
My question is... how to do I record MIDI CC parameters while playing and have it playback to my external synths? For example, i just want to tweak the filter knob of my Sub37 while recording a bassline and have it record with the notes. Is this possible yet?
Any clue how to launch Zenology? I downloaded it via Roland Cloud Manager but nothing... I'm on PC but I expected to install it somewhere as standalone or vst....

No clue as it should install a plug-in. Maybe the plug-in DLL is hiding somewhere on the computer and needs to be moved the the folder where the DAW of choice looks for plug-ins or something?!
It’s been there actually. Only applies to multiple output AU’s like Ruismaker or Pure Acid.
@RajahP I am having all kinds of issues with midi import. What are you saying that its working? Are you importing at the track level or at main menu for song?
