There is one set of available actions. You can customize the actions that appear on the main screen. Any actions that don’t appear on the main screen appear under More.
Really haven't red any of this.
Do I need this if I have beat maker 3 and chop samples etc only a few times a month.
Is this easier, quicker ?
Sorry for being lazy
Nah.
This app IS awesome, but if you have a nice, comfortable workflow in BM3 then you are probably good.
Maybe grab it on sale, or if you want to try something new. Also, keep an eye on the updates, as they are adding more features to this and it may become unbeatable on iOS.
Agree, you don't need it but it's been fun watching the evolution. Getting serious!
Thanks
Will keep an eye on it
Btw, Auditor is getting some nice slicing and exporting features that will be released pretty soon. @LivingMemorySoftware has ok'd public mention of this. When it exports slices, it even has an option to export a corresponding MIDI file.
YES!
Very cool. I still use this feature all the time in desktop Recycle.
SICK!
(probably could have picked a better interjection, I know)
@LivingMemorySoftware has implemented Apple Loop export as part of the new slice editor. This is super handy for creating sliced loops that you can use in GarageBand, BeatHawk or BeatMaker.
The latest beta build is so awesome. Agree, @espiegel123, that it's super handy!
Cool!!!!
This is what I’m waiting for ! :-)
These guys are tuned in
Nice, reminds me of The Orb .
THANKS @royor @TheOriginalPaulB @anickt for the info on customizing the buttons under the 'More' screen.
(...hadn't been here in a couple of days and meant to thank you sooner. )
Paul clinched it:
How do you quickly audition and export individual slices?
From the slicer window or from the main window? To audition a slice, put the cursor at the beginning of the slice (either manually or by using the transport buttons that take you to the next or previous slice point) and tap the button for play to next slice point/marker.
The slicer is for exporting all the slices. If you just want to export a single slice, you do that from the main window by creating a region for the slice and exporting just the region.
You can also create and export multiple regions in one folder from the main window. It’s handy for breaking spoken word into phrases.
Ah... got it, thanks.
Please make it as universal iOS app both for iPad and iPhone. 😏
How is the batch processing on this app? Can it painlessly load and auto trim folders of samples removing silence from both ends of the files?
They say “a picture is worth a thousand words” so:
Thanks for the pic @lukesleepwalker
I think this batch processing feature is what'll push me off the fence for Auditor, I'm finding using multisampling in Audiolayer can result in lots of silence at the beginning of the files and this is the only way to batch remove it without going to desktop. I'm hoping the auto trim works as intended.
It works!
This is great but I hope it gets Au FX hosting some day.
Is it possible to detect the pitch/frequency of samples in this?
No
@Jumpercollins : hi, love the vid Just curious - what do you see the advantage of the auditor file player being over AUMs own file player?
I'm curious too. Maybe midi triggering?
Midi triggering, looping, one shot, fade in/out...
