I’m getting west side story vibes in here 😆
I know, sorry, was just being silly
Has anyone tried this with Velocity Keyboard? I can get it to change presets in the app and turn trig on and off, but can’t get it to play notes.
And has anyone tried with a seaboard? I can get it to play, but I can’t get per note pitch bends. When I try playing multiple notes, and changing the pitch of only one, I get a pitch bend in all notes, not per note. I tried changing settings for pitchbend on the seaboard using Block Dashboard, but no joy.....
I’d hardly call it no reason Max, lol. A lot of us like Hainbach’s music and taste, so it’s pretty exciting when he is involved in something like this. But I’ll definitely be judging it on its own merits, and so far I’ve seen some things I like and others that fall short
@Max23 that said, I'm really glad to get some more skeptical and yet very well-informed (you know a lot about synths I gather) opinions on this, so keep them coming please
Let me put it this way. Hainbach does this:
With a roomful of this:
And now...
...Well, my iPad takes up a lot less room, is all I’m saying
I’m definitely intrigued by this but know how frustrating it would be if it was a crackle fest on my old device... more as a thing to explore than something to expect results from, then again I do keep thinking that it’sa nice inspiration to build something silly in mirack...
Yeah, but ‘do you wanna come back and check out my ipad’ doesn’t quite have the same cache as ‘do you wanna wanna come back and play with my wall of test equipment’ 😛😂 @Svetlovska
I’m really enjoying it but is a one trick pony for sure.
Did someone say a blush response sound bank?
At the very least it is a lovely drone machine. The mod section is really cool. Take the output off this and add some FX on top, you can come up with some pretty cool stuff
It's part of the install - Blush_for_Fundamental
Just notIced that the standalone app on my iPad uses half of the screen😂
Yep - the interface is a fixed size as it's tied into the desktop app - no plans to make it resize to fit the various iPad models...if it's any consolation, imagine how the exact same size looks on a 5k imac...!
😂
Yes - the lack of rescaling takes a bit of getting used to. I thought there was something wrong with the app cos some things near the bottom were missing, lol. I’ll tell you what though, I really like this for ambient. Really, the modulations are super nice. This really makes me look forward to Sinan’s Bot apps coming out!!
Worked with Joey from Blush Response on some things / talented and good dude
This pairs nicely with the Schroeder reverb
The Manual reads like Stockhausen sounds 🤣
For the Air 2 lumpen proletariat amongst the commentariat: Fundamental works, I wouldn’t try large projects though. GUI is cut off in ApeMatrix (functions inaccessible), minimally in AUM and Audiobus (no functions missing).
And that's exactly why I would never make Mononoke playable like a regular synth. It wasn't meant nor designed to be played like that, and it would be at first glance a super bland/disappointing/wtf experience. It would suggest to people that it was just a super-limited subtractive synth.
It was designed to explicitly not be played with a conventional piano interface; the integrated pad-controllers are integral to the nature of its sound...
stacking sine waves is just AM synthesis.
Additive. AM is amplitude modulation, a subset of which is ring modulation.
Surely you can’t be Sirius?
That's what I meant. I stand corrected.
Can you use this app musically? As in I can create a F drone? Or Bb drone? That would be really nice to have
