Description:

Limitless sonic options, now for iPad

MixBox CS packs 70 award-winning mixing processors and creative effects into a convenient 500-series style iPad app.

Create, compare and save your own custom channel strips or multiFX chains, or choose from over 600 presets to give your creativity a kickstart. Whether in your favorite host app or stand-alone, MixBox CS combines a massive range of effects and powerful workflow to supercharge your mixes.

Every processor offers immaculate sound, from powerful digital effects to warm, authentic physical models of classic analog gear. Divided into Amps, Channel Strips, Delays, Distortions, Dynamics, EQ, Filters, Modulations, Reverbs and Saturations, it’s easy to find just what you need. Derived from IK’s award-winning T-RackS, AmpliTube and SampleTank products, they offer the same professional sound quality in a convenient, portable app.

All 70 processors can be inserted anywhere in the chain and are easily interchangeable. Each one comes with helpful controls and features for better mixing, production, and sound design.

MixBox is AUv3 compliant to work seamlessly with other music production and recording apps. It offers a freely configurable rack with slots for up to 8 processors, plus independent gain and mix controls, plus a sidechain control for dynamics processing.

Standalone, MixBox is perfect for live mixing, allowing you to set up to 8 separate racks, each with up to 8 processors. Combine and assign these to your audio device’s inputs/outputs, adjust each one’s gain and level, and you’ll have a massive digital FX rack with up to 64 simultaneous FX. It includes a selection of built-in audio demos to use as reference tracks to audition any of the modules and presets.

To get you going quickly, MixBox CS offers a comprehensive library of more than 600 presets covering everything from live mixing to sound design, for both individual processors and whole chains. You can also create and save your own presets for each individual module, the full rack, and even the whole app’s global state as a song.

With MixBox, you can enjoy supercharges mixes and FX, wherever you are.

  • Hmmm... $40USD... I don't have any children left to sell.... :(

But seriously... I can't wait to hear what others have to say.

  • Sweet, need to go get myself some AppStore gift cards or something...

  • edited December 2020

The music for the promo vid on the app page makes me NOT want to buy it. ;P

  • I think I have enough effect AU apps now even though it’s IK.

I've got plenty as well but looking at the lot they could easily 'replace' bunch of the other apps...
...don't know how heavy on the CPU this package is so I might be better off with the stuff I have until I get a new iPad...

  • Saw it on desktop not a bad offering and for $40 a pretty good bargain but I will to pass. maybe on a future sale

  • $40 is an introductory price at 33% off. Looks sweet though

Yes, I think it is all about CPU usage. I watched some video on YouTube and it sounds really good...If someone can give some info about how hot it is on the CPU, then it can give me the impulse to buy it

Would the CPU strain be much different from the existing apps this one is built off of?
I guess if they improved it significantly it would, but I just see 4 new reverb algorithms mentioned in the description as ‘new’.

    But it looks great.
They beat Tonestack in the AU race.

    Oh my gosh.
    The track is horrendous.
If that's how it makes your music sound I'm not getting it.

Well, if I was still working freelance and that's what the client asked who am I to argue.

    I'm going to be patient.

    Tonestack Au where you???

Ok. I see it does 8 track in/out multi AU, which could potentially bring my Air2 to its knees.

  • Only iPadOS???

    Thanks for saving me $40.

  • Wow...finally a nice looking multi-fx Rack App in AUv3! This should be awesome!

  • not a bad price for SSL, neve, pultec, UA etc emulations. Now, if theyre any good?? i dont know. im going to see if theres a trial on desktop.

  • Looks good but I just purchase cubase 11😂 so no more money left for my December budget😂

  • Much,much interested!

  • Really like it. Seems very CPU efficient. Had 3 instances running here with Gauss in AUM:

Wow, this looks pretty nice. Do you feel the sound quality as good as the module designs @echoopera ?

  • It sounds good to my ear. In the video i show it with the effects On and Off.

  • Got to admit, it looks pretty..

    @echoopera
    Jumped right in, nice.
    Thanks for the better demo.

Would it be easy to screenshot the available modules?
(Not the full graphics, just like a list or something)

    Thank you.

FWIW, I am running 3 instances of the MixBox plugin with a total of 14 fx and AUM is only at 34% with the 3 Instances of Gauss generating the audio being fed in to the effects chains.

That's pretty amazing in my book.

  • You can check out a subset of half of these effects if you have their Syntronic product.
There you can stack up to 5 effects on each of the (up to 4) synthesizer tracks in the presets.

Could you please share your iPad model / CPU and buffer settings for the above mentioned test?
