  • @dwrae this is a very useful feature you’ve implemented especially with the ability to drag and drop multiple files👏
Can’t wait to see what this app becomes. Oh I just found out it also has tempo change and marker.
Any plans to add internal midi routing?

  • Thanks, much appreciated!

May I use/abuse the experience from you guys with a little question? As the little side project (not to be confused with the new unique secret feature! :-) ) I'm going to release a plug-in, but I am still thinking about the monetization part. One of the options that Apple seems to allow these days is to have a free in-app purchase which sets the start of a short trial period, followed by the real in-app purchase when the trial period ends. Have you guys ever seen such a thing before in the App Store? If this is not common, and I don't think it is, this may be an awkward experience for the user. Unfortunately, there don't seem to be other ways of trial periods, except for subscriptions which is not the goal here.

@dwrae Thank @ipadbeatmaking he done the video just sharing his enthusiasm for the work you put into this. Ref you IAP monetisation that’s the first I heard about a free IAP option wasn’t aware Apple let you do that. Sounds cool for trying something out before you buy mind.

@dwrae I believe Loopy Pro has a week free trial, though I purchased it without using it so I don’t know the details of what happens at the end of the trial, or the mechanism it uses to manage the trial period. One thing that people appreciate on iOS is the ability to try an app for free. The developer “RRS, OOO” offers x minutes timeout each time you use their plugin, which I think you have for some of the AEM IAPs. I don’t know if this transfers into more sales but I have bought a number of RRS plugins on the back of being able to play with them. One downside to this approach is the possible negative reviews from people not grasping the fact that not everything is free all the time.

Not top priority, but everything is planned. :)

Thanks. Yep, Loopy Pro does the free trial in-app purchase thing. RRS, OOO violates the App Store Review guidelines, so I am surprised they got passed review. I can try that route and hope for the best though. Thanks for your input!

Yes! I’ve got access to: Magic keyboard case, Logitech combo touch case, and Apple Magic Trackpad.

I have ordered a Apple Magic Trackpad 2.

🤯 🔥 🙏 This is great news!!! I can’t wait to finally be able to have to scrolling while working on songs!! It’s gonna be such a time and headache saver!

Thanks for sharing this with everyone!! Hopefully y’all find it useful and thanks again @dwrae for this great new feature!

Sounds almost like what loopy pro does, with the exception of you buying a version with features and every new year you need to buy the iap again to get a yearly round of new features.
Not including bug fixes, you get them with another purchase or without.

P.S good luck with the new app. I’m buying it to support your work when it comes out.

  • Yeah I was thinking of Loopy Pro with that model, Wotja does something similar (they have a free ‘Lite’ app, then IAPs for the pro unlock, then the yearly update model)…

@dwrae do the toneboosters IAP go to you or toneboosters (or are u toneboosters?) and if not, maybe consider adding a tip jar!! This is the kind of development and support that I would like to support past the initial purchase.

I’ve got no problem with that . I’ll buy all your plug ins . Shout out to @ipadbeatmaking for making the initial update video .

The ability to mix time signatures (insert odd meter bars in an otherwise 4/4 tune ) is what made this app leave FL studio Mobile in the dust for me , not to mention the amazing owner’s manual.

    I am not Toneboosters. :)
We share profits. On iOS, only Vocal Tune /PRO is the only IAP that is solely mine (on Android there is also the custom USB audio/MIDI driver) but the new feature will be solely mine as well as relatively expensive. So if you want to fund me and the development (which is much appreciated), then you can purchase that. Hopefully it will be out by the end of the month, fingers crossed.

Again, many thanks for all your support!

Funny enough I shout that IAP out specifically on every recent AEM video I do. I really love that Vocal Tune Pro!! Ever considered releasing it also as a separate auv3? I need it in my life, name your price!!

I look forward to seeing what this future feature is, sounds exciting! And I want to thank you again for making the Magic Trackpad integration a priority, its something I’ve hoped to see in this app for a long time 🙏 🙏 🙏

In the meantime, hopefully the videos help drive some more sales for you! There’s real interest.

Omg…please let me beta this. I’m a very active user of this plugin.

I will, as soon as I have implemented the IAP scheme, thanks! So this was the little side project I was referring to earlier. IMHO, I think it sounds better than AudioTune and AT Mobile most of the time, but it is always quite dependent on the material.

I say this same thing on our AEM Youtube Song recording Lives and AEM videos…I always, always bring this app up! Best AutoTune on iOS imo. And I’ve tried them all. I’ve got a bunch of videos and songs I’ve done with it specifically I can link privately too if you’d like.

I really would love to test it with MultiTrackStudio MTS and a couple others.

Also, please let it be universal (to silicon Mac) like AEM is! This would be great for bringing projects cross platform.

@dwrae the Interface looks simple and neat. please add me to the beta list if you need some.

yoo bro you got links to the vids? wanna listen to how it sounds.

  • I just got to realize by @ipadbeatmaking that aem works on osx
This is crazy and unreal at this price

Yes, that's probably why I'm not going to let VT Pro be universal. Regular prices on OSX for VST/AU's are 10 to 20 times higher.

Maybe take the FAC approach and let it be a separate purchase for Mac. I’d gladly buy it on both platforms I just kindly request that the projects will transfer the settings back and forth with cross platform DAWs.

This works with Drambo, Fabfilter plugins and some others. It would make it a great experience to start a song on one platform, and finish/mix/etc on another, seamlessly.

Maybe it would be better to implement 2 different iaps? One for desktop and a different one for iOS?
This way, it uses the same Id for the plugin on both systems and makes loading projects from iOS to osx not lose the auv3 when recalling it

Just to avoid confusion, AEMS IS already universal and available on OSX. I was just talking about Vocal Tune PRO.

  • I tiny improvement i suggest: making the background color different than the tracks and making the selected track more visible.
