I’m still curious how @Montreal_Music managed to get Komplete 13 for CA$268, since crossgrading alone seems to cost CA$ 349.00. Show us your ways!

My mistake, it did not works. The 179$ upgrade for KOMPLETE 13 is only good for previous Komplete user. The update do not work for Select user. If you have Select, your price will be 349 and not 179. My bad.

Not sure about Komplete but saw this to get Kotakt with a bigger discount:

    https://plugindeals.net/huge-discount/hack-the-kontakt-6-half-price-sale-to-get-an-even-bigger-discount/

Yep. I posted this above. Then you can crossgrade to Komplete. Not sure the savings but it’s what I did and it was definitely worth it.

So I should buy Select, Kontakt and crossgrade to Komplete full version and I will have a better price? Or only buy Kontakt and then crossgrade to Komplete?

Same price, but with a HDD: https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/Komp13RupKS--native-instruments-komplete-13-upgrade-from-komplete-select

Do I lose something with this version? Is there a downside to the physical version? Or if you all all privilege of the electronic version + a HDD? If I lose my HDD, I want to be able to download Komplete on a new SSD.

Kilohearts opened up the discounts today, the real deal is https://kilohearts.com/products/phase_plant if you already have a bundled tier unlocked. Throughout a year I've been picking up freebee and sale snaps, vouchering the thirtyniners and upgrading bundles when the price got to be under nine each. Today I bought PP for thirtynine! It was totally worth the wait, the snaps are useful besides PP.

Nice deal, I don’t get the subscription voucher until next month.

I just picked up Atlas 2, which I’m hoping I can keep to the only BF purchase this year. The free trial sold me, it’s such a nice bit of kit for what it does.

I was wondering the same thing so I reached out to Sweetwater. Here’s what they said:

Technically you can download off the website, the main reason it comes with the hard drive is because of the massive amount of space it takes up. You can run everything off the hard drive. This one alone requires 320GB for everything it offers and as you upgrade it’s more and more.

Sounds like getting the hard drive doesn’t affect the license, so it’s basically a free hard drive? I’m gonna end up doing whatever you do @Montreal_Music hahah. Go team!

The answer from SW is not 100% clear to me. I'm sometimes dumb and insecure so, don't judge me. It looks like a free HDD to me but I want to be 100% sure that in 5 years, when I lost my HDD and I have a new computer, I will be able to download all my software on my new computer with Native Access.

  • The most annoying thing would be a special HDD with a iLock kind of thing.

Phase Plant for $39? I'd go for that, too. But alas, with all my snapins, I've yet to unlock a Toolbox bundle.

For anyone else interested, everyPlugin.com has it for $87.99. You need an account to see the price, though - https://everyplugin.com/phase-plant.html

Important Note: Download products can be downloaded and activated within 30 - 120 minutes after purchase - the shipping confirmation is sent to you by e-mail. When purchasing a Product Box the serial number is included in the package and not available prior to delivery.

Yep, and I just sent another email for extra clarification. Their response:

That is correct, I have Native Access and it’s all online if anything gets lost. The hard drive just makes life so much easier, I just leave it plugged into my computer at all times.

I just looked through the eligible products for an upgrade or crossgrade on https://www.native-instruments.com/en/products/komplete/bundles/komplete-13/pricing, and here’s what I’m thinking:

I think I’m going to avoid the Ebay route, because it feels kinda sketchy and convoluted. So now I need to decide if CA$480 is worth it to me, or if I should just skip Komplete and buy Kontakt 6 for CA$164.50 with the Arcane hack. Hmm… 🤔

  • Not a huge saving but Scaler 2 has $10 off. I was considering it, but I'd need a little more discount to be persuaded. I'll stick with Suggester for now.

I’ve never seen Scaler 2 go lower than $49, unfortunately.

  • Tactic by Glitchmachines is $5 at Plug-in Boutique, I’ve now gotten the entire Glitchmachines stable of apps for less than $100 total.

  • Sorry, folks. Faulty memory on my part plus being massively busy and distracted.

I did the Embertone route to get Kontakt really. Then I bought some NI Komplete hardware that came with Select bundled.

Going up from there in the Summer Sale became possible and I now can’t recall if having Kontakt already was relevant or not.

Sorry for the bad advice - I thought I was helping but I wasn’t.

No worries, thanks for the tip! I might end up doing the Embertone route after all, still on the fence :)

All my Komplete upgrades have been via the HDD version, last one from Best Service, it was the best deal and you get best coin, so basically money off your next purchase, the HDD saves on download times, you just then need to perform any updates, via download.

scaler 2 is incredibly powerful, the performance modes are insane. Highly recommend

  • I’ve never seen Spire this low. The usual discount price is $129 but it’s now $99.

And it’s an amazing synth - very present. I love it.

  • The UVI Quadra Metal and Wood intro pricing ends today/tonight. I am torn as I have the $100 voucher and could grab it outright but am really wanting the original Quadra. Hoping it comes on sale. Anyone bought Metal and Wood?

Worst-case scenario 'if' UVI follow their Black Friday promo strategy of recent years is that you can bank on a blanket 30% discount across the UVI store, so you 'should' be able to pick up the original Quadra for close to the same price as the Metal and Wood soundware at its current promo price.

  • https://goodhertz.co/tonal/7-years/ The sell begins in few hours and for a week. Those are exquisite plugins !

  • Thenatan plugins all 75% off for Black Friday. Sale is active now: https://www.thenatan.store/
