@Poppadocrock said: Are all those free? And do they contain wav files, samples to use anywhere, or are they made specifically for your apps?

Yep, they're free and the sample files are just WAVs. There are also NKS snapshots which are specific to Synthetic Materials / KONTAKT, but the WAV files should work with any sampler that can map C and F# notes and set up loop points / xfades. Note the samples themselves don't contain looping info.

The terms of use are fairly relaxed / fair and outlined on the downloads page:

    LEGAL STUFF

You are free to use these samples and sequences (where applicable) on a royalty-free basis for commercial and non-commercial projects.

While the samples were designed to be used with Synthetic Materials, you are free to use them with other sample-based instruments on any platform.

You may NOT re-package the samples, sell and / or re-distribute them and claim them as your own work. However, you are free to share these samples in online communities, such as pianobook for example with the courtesy condition that you credit Waverley Instruments as the original source of the samples.

Awesome. Thank you very much. Glad it was pointed out. Cheers!

SSL Essentials Bundle = Bus comp+Channel Strip $49.99!! Also available from all the resellers. Been waiting so long for bus comp to go on sale. List Price: $479

    https://store.solidstatelogic.com/plug-ins/ssl-essentials-bundle-

Interesting , I have had so many ssl emulations , but not from SSL itself

Couple good walkthrough vids I watched a long time ago and saved:

    Compressor
    Channel Strip

Edit: If you go thru JRR Shop and use code "forum" and also add a free item like izotope Vocal Doubler and use code "group" this bundle comes out to $41.99 usd Don't ask me how but I've seen that in other forums today.

😯 wow , this works , saved another 3 usd , was getting for $45 at plugin discounts

Had a chance to try this, very happy. I got it all set on the 2Bus in a track im finishing - like 3-4 db reduction at 2:1 and was already digging it and then remembered to turn on the oversampling and it caused a big old smile on my face. 👍👍

I have virtually all the IKM plugins from the 25th anniversary deal. Would you say their emulation is one of the good ones? I'm also tempted by this offer and wonder if it is really worth. My mixing is definitely amateur level. Don't know if I would even hear a difference.

I just bought the SSL Essentials Bundle, I already own the Waves SSL Bundle and did a quick comparison, SSL Essentials Bundle sounded smoother to my ears and warmer in the low end as far as the channel strip goes, but tbh I don’t know if I would pay the full price of $479.00 for the SSL Essentials Bundle, or if you bought the channel strip and bus Compressor separately they’re $329.00 each, over the Waves bundle which is about $120.00 right now, I think it was a little closer to $200 when I bought it.

But, I definitely think the SSL Essentials Bundle was worth the $50 I spent, I look at it like I just saved $430.00. I figure each one cost me $25.00, I’ve paid more for IPad apps. 🤷🏽‍♂️ As far as sales go imo yes it was worth it.

I don‘t have that many synths for desktop and the NI Classic bundle caught my attention: MASSIVE, ABSYNTH5, FM8, and REPLIKA

    https://www.pluginboutique.com/product/81-Bundle/89-Complete-Collection/8026-KOMPLETE-Classics-Collection

They are all not Apple Silicon ready and I wonder if they ever will. I plan to buy a new Apple laptop. Would you say it’s worth to buy these synths in 2022?

I vote no, def not for $99. They are not bad just old, plus if you ever buy Komplete you will get them anyway. There are ways to get crossgrade into Komplete like the free Arcane Kontakt player library if anyone didn’t know.

I’ve had Komplete for a few years now and never even opened those synths but maybe I have too many others like Omnisphere and Softube stuff . Oh dude, Softube Model 72 (moog) is $49 right now and the Juno Model 84 is on sale too for like 80 but it will go for $50 sometime soon. I would put the money into those if you’re itching for synths. They rule!

Don’t feel FOMO over this NI deal IMO of course…

  • @maxwellhouser and @Strizbiz thank you for your advice. I already got a great deal for the Arturia V Collection, so I have a lot of classic synths. I think GAS was driving me. I better invest time to master these plugins.

I thinks that’s a good idea for me as well! Also we should start a GAS Anonymous thread 😂

GAS -4 Reasons <saw that the other day 👍

FRMS by imaginando on sale for desktop $39.

    https://audioplugin.deals/frms-granular-synthesizer-by-imaginando/

A decent saving especially if you like having the same apps on iOS and desktop.

Softube have a sale, one with a particularly big discount is Model 72 for $48 from $159

    https://www.softube.com/model-72-synthesizer-system

If I wasn’t allergic to ilok I might even be tempted myself even though I have the Moog, Gforce and Arturia versions :-D

  • Not sure if mentioned but Bleass desktop sale. I think it’s still available.

  • That makes the ultimate bundle around 220ish which is quite a nice deal :-)

🤬 I could’ve used that earlier. Ah, well.

But, I did take advantage of it now and finally bought Alpha for desktop. Thanks, Pops!

  • Don't know if that was already posted, but the new Novation Sound Collective offer is in:
    https://novationmusic.com/en/news/sound-collective-capsule

It's a nice sound pack that usually costs 19.99 and is free for everyone that owns a Novation product.

Haha yeah. I have a few D16 plugins and still genuinely have no idea which one is which. I now know I have fertiliser and a cure for flatulence so thanks, that'll come in handy.

I did mention the sale a while back, but it's worth mentioning it again as it's going to end on the 24th I think. Plus all the people who have blocked me wouldn't have seen

A lot of the D16 plugins are quite old, only officially compatible up to MAC OS 10.15 and D16 have stated M1 versions will be paid upgrades. None of mine are installed on my MBP, so I'm looking forward to updates in the future. It'll be nice to find out what they do again :-)

Here's a compatibility chart to make sure you know if the ones you might be interested in are compatible with OS 12/M1 native:

At the max level or close it will be a good deal to update the synths to the m1 compatible syntronik 2. At least for those interested in editability, because S2 does play s1 synth presets otherwise.

Yeah if you have the v1 synths they all work exactly as they did in v1 within the v2 app but with the big benefit that they get M1 compatibility as well. You can get them as M1 native within Sampletank 4.

If you upgrade the ones you have to v2 it opens up the extra features and presets from the v2 synths.

I’m not sure I’ll bother tbh as I have so many virtual synths already and don’t have any spare GB on my internal MacBook Pro SSD and don’t really like using external drives with my MacBook as I’m not often at a desk.

Anyway if I was i would definitely prioritise the new synths that weren’t in v1 rather than update the ones I already have (I have all the v1 syntronik synths).

  • Heavyocity has a free Kontakt thing: Staccato Strings, also works in the free Kontakt player

  • Really cool apps and a good way to build towards a bundle.

  • Not too exciting, but useful tools -

64-bit VST2 oscilloscope and spectrum analyzer, by SocaLabs, free. (64-bit scopes used to almost impossible to find.)

Lots of other free goodies - https://socalabs.com/

Good chance to get the Gadget Collection. I’m enjoying this so much. I like to use Gadget on my iPad on the go, best together with the nanoKeys Studio and then I export my track as Ableton Live Set and send it to my Mac. Then you can open it with Ableton or Bitwig and the project loads all the Gadget VSTs properly and the song sounds exactly the same as on the iPad.

I am interested to hear that the projects automatically load the Gadget VSTs as that could make it more sensible to invest in either Bitwig or Ableton rather than full desktop Gadget. I keep persuading myself not to buy Gadget on desktop as I bought the new Korg Collection and so have a number of the synths as part of that. I may try exporting a Gadget project to Ableton to see if it loads the Korg Collection version of, for example, Korg M1.

Can You confirm if KORG updates plugins every time new expansion pack is released on ios?
I only want to know if all presets from ios are ported to win/mac plugins

This same bundle in Plugin Boutique was discounted until 50 euros the last month.

If you want to add some synths to your arsenal, a see a better deal to get Unfiltered Audio Lion and Knif Audio Knifonium for 30 euros, using this offer that is valid until tomorrow.

Use the code HAPPY49 to get both plugins for 49 euros. And then add the May loyalty voucher (which is the same for all the Plugin Alliance accounts), to obtain 20 euros of discount: 2022-04-25GS8P973iTw243

At the end of the day, you will pay 15 euros for each synth, and both of them are Apple Silicon native.

I purchased both of them and Lion is amazing, a modulation heaven. While Knifonium is one of the best sounding virtual analog synths, but with forgettable presets.

  • Sound Particles Energy Panner is temporally free with this Sound on Sound promotion:

    https://lp.soundparticles.com/sos-freeplugin

It will create a panning stereo effect based in the intensity of the audio signal. This thing is amazing for sound design, I have tried some presets and it blew my head. It can convert even the most monotone sounds in a a psychedelic orgy.

Sadly, is not Apple Silicon native, but it works without problems under Rosetta.
