@MatthewAtZenbeats : Might this be possible completely within ipad at some point ? It would be that much closer to looking at Zenbeats and MV1 to one single integrated unit .
@senhorlampada : It isn’t
oh crap
thanks for the heads up, mate
****This is a repost from my social channel, but it MOST definitely applies to everyone here as well****
Happy Holidays, Everyone!
We're rolling out Zenbeats 3.1.3 today with numerous bug fixes and enhancements, including the brand new ****Zenbeats Arpeggiator MIDI plugin on all platforms****.
Check the links below for full release notes and a video showcasing the Zenbeats Arpeggiator in action (along with some of the other enhancements).
Lastly, I want to thank all of you for the support and feedback this year. The bug reports, feature requests, and general questions shared in this group were instrumental in our development work this year. **Since the 3.0.0 release (back in May), we have dropped 13 updates with nearly 300 improvements made in the app.

Great! Not midi plugins is much easier. I have waited for this feature!
@MatthewAtZenbeats Amazing Work!
As I'm now on a somewhat faster iPad (11" M1 iPadPro) than what I used to have I'm starting to dig deeper into ZenBeats and the subtle enhancement made over time really show in a good way with small quirks being ironed out one by one.
Now I don't know if this is by design (to avoid level jumps?) but the mixer sliders feel like they are 'bathing in thick syrup' when moving them?! (Ie. they don't directly follow the finger but have some kind of delay/lag built-in?!).
The Midi Arpeggiator is a nice touch and I'm quite sure there's more midi-plug-ins cooking?
(Think 101-style transposable step-sequencer with step-recording, ties & rests. Totally perfect for bass-lines, custom arpeggios etc.).
Btw. Is there any way to 'process' the a recorded midi clip thru the midi plug-ins?
ie. print the midi effect and replace the source clip, as an example example 'covert' the held chord notes into arpeggiated midi?
Maybe something similar to bouncing audio thru the effects to create a new audio file?
So far no glitches or issues with the latest update, feels really solid!
Cheers!
Playing with https://roland50.studio/ other day I started wondering how much of the hardware workflow/gadgets we could get inside Zenbeats This sequencer you mention would be a good start
really like that arpeggiator. And i really like what the sampler does to an audio file. it has a great tone.
does anyone know how to set a sample start point or edit a file on a drum pad?
This will get you to the editing screen:
A few weeks back, @tahiche and I reported that certain plugins were causing ZB to cut off audio or crash. I submitted a list of around 25 that were misbehaving and, just a short time later, nearly all of those issues have been resolved with the latest update. Kudos to @MatthewAtZenbeats and team.
Are you refering to iOS exclusive issues?
I only use an iPad so I don’t know if other platforms had similar problems.
+1

Thanks for the update and glad to hear. I'm in contact with numerous plugin developers to investigate the remaining issues.
Great news!. 🤟
@Schmotown @DMfan @CapnWillie @tahiche @MatthewAtZenbeats etc etc anyone else who may know:
Without getting into why I want this workflow to work vs just using an auv3’s native internal preset menu;
How do you get a auv3 preset saved in ZenBeats to actually show up in the user presets menu? It’s blank for me. What’s even crazier is in the files app I can actually see ZenBeats made a preset file but I can’t seem to access it in the menu system within ZenBeats itself. Any help would be great. Thanks.
In order for the preset list to be visible this needs to be coded in the AUv3 itself by the developer. Zenbeats only “reads” the code and if a specific function is not there, Zenbeats can’t show it on screen. This is among other things why the Zenbeats team is putting in a lot of work around AUv3s, each and every app needs to individually dealt with.
Please continue to report any issues with specific AUv3s via the regular support channels, it is an ongoing work, but as @Schmotown noted, apps are rapidly being fixed by the Zenbeats team.
Which apps are you having issues with, out of curiosity just to see if they are already reported?
Happy Holidays😊!

I think you’re misunderstanding me (or I’m not being clear). I’m not asking ZenBeats to populate presets from auv3’s that haven’t been set up from their (the auv3) devs. But instead speaking on ZenBeats having its own preset management system where I should be able save a user preset of any auv3 (in ZenBeats itself). For example, it lets me ‘save a preset as’ etc of the state of an auv3 within ZenBeats native system.
This isn’t uncommon. Most DAWs have this including Cubasis, NanoStudio 2, Beatmaker 3 and others. The problem is that, although ZenBeats let’s me save them, and even has it visibly saved in the iOS file system, the saved presets (saved in ZenBeats) don’t actually show up inside of ZenBeats like they should. I’m wondering if this is a setting I’m missing somewhere.
Yup, got you wrong there🤪. I understand now, interesting issue. Let’s see if anyone else can chime in!

Thanks for the report! Will get that fixed for the next patch.
Hello! I don’t know if this is a known problem, but I have found that a couple of Au3s are causing problems with the plugin scan. Audulus 4 just causes the scan process to freeze indefinitely, while MidiTools by AudioVeek (in particular Midi Route) just crashes Zenbeats altogether. Impossible to say where the problem lies; i would imagine all parties concerned will default to a “Not us, guv!” stance, in the absence of real evidence 😉
Deleting of these Au3s allowed the scan to complete.
This is on an iPad Air (5th gen) running iPadOS 16.2.
Thoughts, anyone?
I’ve experienced this to varying degrees as long as I’ve used Zenbeats. Usually restarting ZB and doing “scan for new plugins” allows the scan to complete. Sometimes a full rescan will work. ZB also takes longer to scan plugins than any other iOS host I’m aware of. I suspect thes phenomena are related.
If restarting ZB after crash leads to another crash because of the same AU ,it's definitely a new bug
ZB should ignore the AU on the second scan , (well , the host shouldn't crash at all during scanning ,but it's different story)
Please report the AUv3s you are having issues with through the regular support channels. The ZB team is actively asking for feedback in order to fix any issues. I know for a fact that a few developers have tried to play the blame game historically but I have no indication whatsoever that this applies to Roland and the ZB team, on the contrary. But, in order for them to properly investigate, step one is to report the issues present.

im really disappointed about roland, zenbeats and apple because last week after the update there was something wrong with zenbeats, any of the auv3 wasn’t showing on the auv3 list on zenbeats, so i sign out of zenbeats to sign backing to see if that would help fix the problem, so after signing back in, zenbeats was asking me to purchase zenbeats ios unlock which i didn’t though much about it and i just press the ios full unlock thinking apple store was going give me the message telling me that (You already purchase this do you want to download it for free) but it didn’t, it actually charge me again the full price 10.81 for the ios unlock,,, which on sep 16 2022 i all ready paid for it at the at the version 2 to version 3 update discount which was at 3.99 when i bought it on sep 16 2022, so for the first time ever after spending more $2000 on ios music apps through this last 2 years, i when to the apple refund to report the problem and to get my money back, apple and roland refuse to give me the money back,
and even though its just 10.81 but i feel robbed by Apple and Roland, and what really bothers me is that ios its a platform that i support a lot i spend a lot of money on, and now i feel like never spending any more money on apple ios apps and just go back to pc or mac and just download every hacked roland apps and never ever again buy and support a roland app for now on every roland app the i will own will be hacked roland never again will never get a penny from me, and when it comes to apple devices i will never again buy a new device, i will only buy a used device from the street and apple so apple and roland 🖕🏼this is the only thing you will get from me ever again
this is when i bought the ios unlock for version 2
this is when i bought the version 3 new features update ios unlock on sep 16 2022
and this is when they changed me again and just again but the full price for the same ios unlock that i paid for on sep 16 2022
this is the bullshit that Roland told me
and the bullshit Apple claims
