Had problems signing up though. I just kept returning to the same screen after pressing the sign up button. Laughed at the 4:45 mark when I saw my mug scroll by in the Soundcloud section.

Here's a ear training app. This is the free version. I like it.

Nothing in the spam folder. We're you able to sign up?
I've trained my ears to sit, beg and roll over...
@funjunkie Yes I was able to sign up from Safari.
@PaulB Please make a tutorial video of that. Lol
Here's another app by same Dev above. Free version.

I finally was able to sign up. It looks like they changed the site between the times I couldn't sign up and now. Oh well....whatever the reason, it seems to have been resolved.
@PaulB - I've been able to train other's ears to beg as well, but I usually ignore it and keep playing ;-)
Finding this app great to hear how a certain rhythm should sound. Think it deserves highlighting. Could use a few additions such as flashing rhythm and following the phrase but definitely a handy tool.

Also, a decent flash card app that used to be $3....now free...

Do you have either @mgmg4871? If so, what's your impression?
I have the iPhone version. It's good for lyric writing. Rhymes , thesaurus, dictionary, phrases, and a built in audio recorder. There's is a multitrack version that's free with IAPs also.
Chordology
Here's a cool theory app. $.99 US.

I really like its display. Could probably do with inversions.. (Try playing that Dm9 in screenshot!)
However for the money, it looks a great all round chord book.
Here's one for you vocalist.
Vocal Mastery (free)
@funjunkie make sure mini me gets a copy.
Chordology is just plain pretty.
Great! Now I need to budget twice as much @mgmg4871.
Lol. The piano scales didn't work on my ipad but did work on my iPhone.
Synthesia is the only piano teaching app that I know of that allows use of a midi keyboard. It has notation on a piano staff for sight reading. My son has been using this and making great progress. It just got updated today.

I checked this one out before, but I didn't spend much time with it. I need to revisit it.
I love Synthesia. In fact I've been using it a lot the past few days, learning how to play some of Yann Tiersen's Amelie Soundtrack. It's so easy to search the web for a midi file and within seconds have it inside of Synthesia showing you graphically how to play. The import function definitely makes the £3.99 ($7?) IAP worthwhile.
If it sounds like your kinda thing that is.
I think there may even be a free desktop version?
It has scales also. Has a lot of potential for learning, practice, and theory.
The midi aspect is really interesting. Looks like I'll be parting with more of my retirement savings. Good thing I plan on dying before I retire.
Yeah, they say the average retiree only collects about 10 checks anyway.
Can you imagine how miserable people are that never get to do what they love doing? I'd rather be broke and having fun.
+1 for having fun! And with the price of these apps, it's about the most affordable fun I've had.
Here's one that may be useful.

Hold off on this one. Doesnt function properly outside of the key of C. Contacted Dev.
