Thanks for the tip @mgmg4871. While looking at their web site, I also saw their "Run Machine".

Do you know anything about that? The IAPs looked pricey, but it's only money ;-)
Update: I got further clarification on how the app works and its fine. @funjunkie there are no IAP's in this app. Its just basically for laying down chord progressions visuall on a keyboard and playing them back. Looks like it would be good for instruction mostly.it will transpose progressions into any key which could be useful.
There are several IAPs for the Run Machine app....

Translate guitar to piano.

There's now a minor key version of Chords in Keys for Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=appinventor.ai_kissmyaxe.MusicTheoryChordsInMinorKeys
Works just like the first app but with natural minor scale instead of major.
Interesting different kind of app. Shapes
https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/shapes-music/id617475856?mt=8
Have you tried Shapes @mgmg4871? Thoughts?
Yes, I have. I thought it would be cool for my son to learn key signatures and improvisation. The YouTube video plays in background semi transparent. The piano keys are marked that pertain to the scale in the video. It does require a decent internet connection because it's streaming realtime. There are hundreds of songs, and 4 levels of difficulty. I think it's great for ear training with so many familiar songs.
Sounds interesting. I'll take a look at some of the YT vids to get a feel for it.

Picked this up. I like it. It's similar to the Midi Designer Layout I designed. Which I did, because I couldn't find an app like this. Free too. Great.

Anybody use these apps to teach music theory or reading music to kids? My curiosity was piqued from a question on another forum.
I just use them for personal use, but I think some of them would be great for teaching.
This is more on the rhythm side of theory, but may be useful to somebody... iLearnDrum is on sale for free:
