Hopefully it’ll be iOS universal as we iPhone users got the long dick with nuttersynth

    Edit

Butter …that was too funny to edit out though lol

Okay..let me put your mind at ease on BOTH!!
First, ButterSynth on iPhone IS coming in the next update for iPad. Also, this ToneBoosters release will also be on iPhone! 😎

I thought the perceived loudness of certain low notes had to do with position of listener in the listening environment, ie. standing waves, ect. I don’t understand how applying curves or whatever helps. Feel free to take me back to school again. I’m a fan of TB BTW.

    Thanks.

Sucks for TB it got leaked but man I’m stoked. I love all their apps that I have and I’m a sucker for a good monophonic and/or bass synth. Guess it’s their competitor to Bassalicious (my current go to bass synth) and AudioKits 808.

Yeah..it’s a bummer. I just hope the interest holds till possible release next month. They’re still putting the final touches on it for crying out loud. Not totally ready yet but it looks great

I for one am definitely excited. :) When producing HipHop, I can never have enough bass synths. ;)

Same! Bassalicious and 808 Bass is good for that too but this seems a bit more powerful.

I love 808. Need to try Bassalicious.

Oh it’s fantastic. Especially since you PSP2. You can load the whole thing inside of it.

Indeed it is! Sort of a Model D clone but with their own spin on it. It’s doing the bass parts on both my SoundCloud tracks. It’s definitely worth the money, imo. I’m a GM fan as well, and it’s up there with PSP2 as far as “apps I’ll never delete”

  • Does make me wonder if there are some extra modulation envelopes with optional AHD (Attack, Hold & Release) and one-shot modes for the LFO etc. etc.

Screenshots have the downside of pushing the expectations and feature-speculations to a level were it's hard to meet and/or exceed those expectations...

Also quite weird choice to have sliders on the filter envelope and knobs on the ADSR,' inconsistent' design irks me a bit :sunglasses:

  • I’ll defo be buying this. TB always sounds great.

That screenshot and article should likely never have been published. The dev is asking people on beta specifically to keep details quiet.

Yeah, and if I was TB I'd just cut that 'influencer' off for good...
...sure it could and would likely back-fire by that influencer starting to trash the reputation of TB, oh well...

Indeed it is. I think the UI designers had too much free space left so they decided to add some large sliders to cover the empty spot. Looking at it I can’t think of any other logic explanation.

Apparently, if you want your plugin to remain a secret…Don’t give it to them! Sheesh..ruined the devs plans for 35 likes of clout chasing. Sad

Yep it’s a shitty thing to do. Hope the dev will cut them off completely from any more beta and share their name to other devs to keep an eye out for them.

Yeah, the "influencer" is very arrogant to outright ignore a NON-disclosure agreement. I do beta testing myself, and other than Buttersynth open beta where it was encouraged to share details, I keep tight lipped.

An nda is a legal document... Let's not get carried away here, nobody signed any ndas, but even informal agreements should be respected. Many devs don't mind teases but it's wise to ask first before doing so. Maybe that was done in this case? Maybe not? No idea. Seems unlikely since I just got added to beta and was specifically asked not to share info.

  • Not cool to have published that but I’m definitely buying!

Exactly. Well, formal nda or not, just not cool to leak info when specifically asked not to. :)

They already have Flowtones and now a Lowtone? I wonder why they thought it was a good idea to have two apps with near-identical names in their portfolio. They are setting themselves and their users up for some juicy mixups imho.

There's going to be a whole line of synths
a synth for brass sounds called Blowtone, and to bring back the sound of Moby and 90s raves they made Gotones and Onotones is a synth that makes scary screamy vocal sounds and then a karplus strong synth with distortion called HeyJoetone

I'm mostly looking forward to this one here, though. The Lowtone looks like a fun synth, I like the UI.

  • Not to forget, the upcoming free Christmas synth Snowtones.
