    TB Lowtone it is..😎

They already have Flowtones and now a Lowtone? I wonder why they thought it was a good idea to have two apps with near-identical names in their portfolio. They are setting themselves and their users up for some juicy mixups imho.

There's going to be a whole line of synths
a synth for brass sounds called Blowtone, and to bring back the sound of Moby and 90s raves they made Gotones and Onotones is a synth that makes scary screamy vocal sounds and then a karplus strong synth with distortion called HeyJoetone

I'm mostly looking forward to this one here, though. The Lowtone looks like a fun synth, I like the UI.

You forgot cottoneyejoetone, for when you really want to piss the neighbours off 😂

And the synth based off famous Simpsons side character, Moetones.

  • Will this be Mono or Poly?
If mono only, does it support for para phony? (ie. one note per oscillator since it's got 3 oscillators).

I’m guessing mono only but paraphonic would be cool. Not really any paraphonic synths on iOS.

Haha, then we certainly need ****tone too! 😂

Edit: Removed the verb, for some reason ‘who knows why ;)’ folks didn’t get the joke. Watch the video and make your own conclusion.

  • Yep. This one’s gonna be a keeper for sure. Exited about this one.

Hahaha! Oh goodness I almost forgot about that ruddy song. 😂😂😂

  • Also don't forget about "notones", aka the atonal noise synthesiser. 😆

    Could've been "Tone-Loc".

Sucks for TB it got leaked but man I’m stoked. I love all their apps that I have and I’m a sucker for a good monophonic and/or bass synth. Guess it’s their competitor to Bassalicious (my current go to bass synth) and AudioKits 808.

Yeah..it’s a bummer. I just hope the interest holds till possible release next month. They’re still putting the final touches on it for crying out loud. Not totally ready yet but it looks great

I for one am definitely excited. :) When producing HipHop, I can never have enough bass synths. ;)

Same! Bassalicious and 808 Bass is good for that too but this seems a bit more powerful.

I love 808. Need to try Bassalicious.

Oh it’s fantastic. Especially since you PSP2. You can load the whole thing inside of it.

OH NICE! It's by @GospelMusicians ! One of my favourites. ^_^

Indeed it is! Sort of a Model D clone but with their own spin on it. It’s doing the bass parts on both my SoundCloud tracks. It’s definitely worth the money, imo. I’m a GM fan as well, and it’s up there with PSP2 as far as “apps I’ll never delete”

Combining FM with a classic monosynth does great things for bass sounds, I've been doing this since years with my Sub37 😊

My best friend and I are waiting for Brotones. Also, would be great to have one for Mum. She loves baking and I'm looking forward to Sconetones. But most importantly I really want to give my wife Moantones.

Yeah I think it's a sustain pedal of some sorts. Just couldn't resist a bad pun.

  • Can’t wait. I love the ToneBoosters apps.

That gave me a good giggle. But where I come from scone rhymes with 'gone'. I hope that stating this plain fact will not lead to this fine thread getting taken down.

    Keep calm and carry scone!

  • Not supposed to mention this yet, but TB Mowtone is releasing next month; a rompler of vintage lawnmower sounds

I’ve coveted a Sub37 for years. I don’t have the space for one but I’d love to have one some day.

Here it is mainly the same. Scone rhymes with on. But I figure the gag was worth a try for those who say "sc - ohhhh - ne"

I don't have much space either but it's a keeper for me. It has a great character on its own, and with a simple diy circuit, the Pitch and Filter CV inputs can add magnificent FM and filter modulation. It sits next to a Minimoog-style MFB Synth II which adds lots of sound design options.
And thank god, both support presets 😄

  • sure thing, pretty convinced this is a sustain, latch, hold feature in the on screen keyboard

:D Instabuy - niche purchase of the year? Or maybe it's only for mower-ons.

That MFB looks fantastic too! Always been interested in their stuff. Sound wise it’s just excellent. My fiancé and I are doing the tiny house thing so I don’t have space for more than one tiny synth, my iPad, and midi controller. But when we upgrade to a slightly bigger tiny house I can splurge a bit more 😂

Clever use of the singular :)

  • Nice! I was expecting more of a splash but not many comments yet. I’m about to buy it now.
