Hell yeah 😎 looking forward to hearing it! I’m really really liking this synth. It sounds fantastic.
It’s definitely geared more towards synth sounds. Not really all 808 though. More like a Model D but it’s kind of it’s own thing too. For synth bass it’s pretty all encompassing.
I couldn't get the meaty bass of a Moog out of it.
I meant Model D in terms of interface (all in one screen) and layout. I can get some decent Moog tones out of but yeah nothing exactly like the Model D.
Here is my demo for Lowtone, honestly, I really do think this may be the best synth for Bass we have on iOS.
If you do watch it, wear some headphones.

So far, the next mashup. The bass is Lowtones, and sheeeesh it's so dang good!
Oh shit! I’ll listen as soon as I get back home 🤘
If this can get Jack Antonoff bass synthesizer sounds, then I’m interested.
Which in particular? It can do a lot for sure.
He has created a very stylistic bass synthesizer sound, both as a musician and as a producer for others. A quick example would be anything he’s co-wrote and produced for Taylor Swift. Apparently, he created a new pop sound that’s been around for about 15 years or more. While his synthesizer sounds are what he’s most noted for, his clever arrangements and mixes jumped out at me.
I haven’t heard much of his work outside of Bleachers and Fun but I’ll give those a listen. I’m sure Lowtone could do it though. It seems capable of any bass tone.
I bought it and I like it. Seems easy to use and sounds great. I'm a TB fan and they are one of the companies that I feel deserve a serious look for any release.
Several reasons I reference his arrangements with Taylor as clever:
Cheers, lol. https://forum.audiob.us/discussion/56366/jwm-kids-cuss-mashup-for-mamimi#latest Here's the full track. Better than the short sample, lol.
Is the keyboard collapsible? I might be able to read the control panel on my SE if it collapses and makes the panel bigger.
I agree he’s a great producer. I’ve heard some of his tracks he’s produced for other artists and he’s definitely a super talented dude. His work with Fun in particular is just great, though that was more of a joining of 3 heads.
My interest for Lowtone is heating up. Not just from your song, It’s great BTW. Just watching Doug video as I type this, love that extremely saturated but in a way tamed character in synth voice. It’s certainly different than Moog, good thing because no one needs another Moog copycat, this sound is more industrial to me, more modern with direction towards old-school.
Someone mentioned there is no manual. There is, TB always make pretty thorough manuals:

Not really a fan AT ALL of most of the existing presets, they’re just not to my taste at all, but this seems capable of some great sounds, whether by making your own patches or using the randomiser, which really is brilliant. Never judge a book by the cover, never judge a synth by the presets, to paraphrase Dendy.
The Tool Tips do not work for me, at least not in AUM. Can anyone confirm?
Cheers
Gav
Can’t find any simple default patch btw! There also seems to be no way to get an overview of modulation that is going in in any given patch. No way to see modulation visualized on any given control. No way to quickly just reset all modulation to zero in any given patch. Unless I am missing something - these all seem like pretty serious omissions!
Am I wrong about any of the above?
I thought the tool tips were not working - they are. But you need to long press for an ungodly amount of time before they appear!
I haven’t been able to find any of those either. Definitely some fairly big omissions. Hopefully they’ll get added. Mod visualization and a default preset especially.
I do like a decent amount of the presets though. And the overall character of the synth is just fantastic.
Bizarre omissions indeed!!
Do you also experience this?: open a preset and look for a parameter that is being modulated (the dot on its top right will be lit up). Now try to turn all modulation off for that knob. The light remains lit regardless. This could seriously use a reset all automation feature.
Weird. I’ll try that out here in just a bit. TB usually does a good job with updates so I’m hoping this will get fixed/added. Little things like this can really add up.
I found that some I can get to reset, others seem impossible to reset. Not worried, good dev, they will definitely fix whatever needs fixed.
I’m coming up with some beautiful presets for this thing!!
Ah, you can get a default patch by clicking on the button right of the randomiser button. Still though it seems to have lights on for modulation and when I change, for example, punch time to default, which seems to be 15ms, the light on hte top right of the knob still stays lit.
Took me forever to find it too lol.
I had no idea I could change the punch time. Time for me to dig into the manual. 😎
Yeah I get exactly what you're saying mate. Definitely my new go-to bass synth!
And definitely not just for basses - you can do some quite complex and interesting sounds in a good range of the frequency. Getting rid of the chorus and toning down the reverb are definitely good starting points - these tend to make things a bit cheesy to my ears, often
