  • Hello musiclovers!
I got a question about Korg Gadget 1.03 that I'm really convinced that you guys here can answer...
I have really search for that in both Google and on Korgs forum...
How do you use MIDI-learn in Korg Gadget?
I've got an M-Audio Axiom Pro MIDI keyboard with a lot of knobs and pots on (and it's works very well as an keyboard in Gadget). But, I want to use the real knobs compare to the knobs on iPads UI...
Have anyone any clue how to use MIDI-learn?

    Thanks in advance!

    Erik from Sweden

  • And now custom kits in Bilbao aren't saving.

    o_O

I'm starting to not like this update and new Gadgets.

  • @ErrkaPetti

While you have a gadget open onscreen, hit the function button in the lower left and you will see a list of commands and MIDI CCs appear. Just select one of the commands and then rotate/push the a control on your Axiom to assign it to that command.

When I name them they won't save, but if I keep the name without typing a new one when saving it appears to work.

They need to get this crap sorted out. Shouldn't be released like this in the first place.

The user and all related content has been deleted.
  • @Busker and @Serosin, thanks for that information!
Can't understand why I'm not seen that?
    Not that intuitive though...
Lets play Gadget now! Thanks again!

    Love from Sweden!

Tested out StepPolyArp with another app and switching patterns does not cause the sound to drop.

Thing is in Gadget the sound always drops when I switch patterns in StepPolyArp, but now I am able to bring it back simply by switching the kit. Before that didn't happen.

You said you tried SPA with another app but in this recent Thumbjam thread (link below) about sound dropping out in TJ when switching patterns in SPA and @sonosaurus said after looking into it that SPA sends out a channel pressure of 0 when switching patterns. Could this be related? Not trying to muddy the water but maybe the issue is with SPA. You might drop a line to the SPA developer who has always been very responsive when I've contacted him in the past about ChordPolyPad.

    Just a thought.

    Thanks for the response!

I just went back to see is there was something I could do, and now for whatever reason it works.

I was also able to save a renamed user kit in Bilbao, not sure what was going on there, but what I did was save it first with the default name and then save it again using "save as" with a custom name. Is that a bug? Who knows, don't really feel like testing it any further at this point.

  • Another +1 for micro-fades (or other solution to the 'clicks') if anyone from Korg is keeping a list...

  • I wonder if there is another app that can easily create microfades at the start and end of samples so it kills the clicks? Then you could run the samples through this before importing.

  • ...Can't see how to do this in audio share unfortunately.

  • It was mentioned hereabouts that fades (and zooms) were on the Audioshare 'to do' list. Hope so. It's amazing to me how AS along with AB has become so central to getting the cat skinned these days...

  • hokusai can do fades but i'm not sure how much it costs to get that feature. the program itself is free

  • @nvrhxd yup on Hokusai. I find it a funny little thing, perhaps not quite the sum of its parts. But it's a killer to be going in and out of so many different things away from the flow which is why inclusion of fades (and zoom) into AS is so attractive. When I'm on a beer run I wanna buy my cognac in the same store and get home and back to the party as soon as possible....

  • Too bad you can't export single scenes in gadget, because exporting to audiocopy makes it easy to import to Abu Dhabi and Bilbao without even leaving Gadget:

    1. Just export, name the sample and click copy, then click outside the pop up to close it.

    2. Now go to one of the samplers and select Import and audio paste and you will see a folder with KORG Gadget Sounds right there.

  • Hi guys.

I have downloaded, installed and registered AL9 Lite. By default, it downloads the Windows 32bit (I didn't realise that).

So now, I saw the 64bits and the question is: may I download this version (64) and register it for free?

If not, the free VST (in ABL 32bits) must be 32 bits?

    Thanks.

  • Yeah, there's no bridge or anything- 64 bit version will only see 64 bit plugins.

  • Thanks. So, just for messing around, may I keep the 32 bits version? Thanks.

  • There's bridging software that works nicely for both 32-64 or 64-32
I use this one for PC, he has one for Mac as well http://jstuff.wordpress.com/jbridge/

  • Great. I understand now. Thanks. I really need go to an english academy. :(

  • Thanks @jonnygoodyear.

I have Hokusai. Will try that. Might smooth the joins.

  • @Peter321. Couldn't you audiocopy all the scenes with everything muted apart from what you want to resample, and then use the audiocopy editing tools (you need the audiocopy app for this) to crop down the sample.

    So almost not leaving gadget.

    Do you speak spanish?

  • Yes, I am.

Aquí se dice: "soy español por los cuatro costados".

  • Ooh I finally got to use that translate button in the browser. You're Spanish on all four sides. Still don't know what it means, but I got to press that oh so useful "translate" button :)

  • Perfecto!! Una pregunta cual gadget nuevo compraste?

  • It's like "authentic spanish". But not so spanish to run at San Fermin . No exact translation for this sentence, I'm afraid.
