@VirSyn I’m noticing that the FM module won’t load sounds immediately. I get brief clicky sounds instead of functioning patches. But when I go back to the standard factory patches and load them in the main patch browser in the top middle of the UI layout (not the little FM7 patch browsing window), then it returns to normal.

    Anyone else having this issue?

Finally could reproduce this. Will investigate further and fix.

Update: fixed the save fm 7 preset problem, waiting for review in App Store

Update is now available in the App Store which fixes this. This problem also had bigger impact than originally thought leading to wrong saved presets.

Yep, just downloaded and it is fixed! Thanks so much. I am really loving this FM7 module.

I caved and purchased the IAP. Very nice!

Mentioning: I got a message saying Purchase Failed. No FM7 module. I pushed purchase again, and it told me I had already purchased, want to purchase again? I clicked yes, and got another Purchase Failed message. No FM7 module. I selected Restore Purchases, and the module installed. iPad Pro 16.3.1

Edit: the FM layering is fantastic.

  • One of the biggest reasons that tipped me over to get the FM/ IAP was the layering functionality with full effect setup per layer :sunglasses:

And separate ARP setup per layer. 😎👍🏼

So we all agree that Tera Pro is Super Synth. 🤩 Tried to write everything what I like about synth, no way, it’s too much text. Regarding FM7 module, except meta controls, my favourite thing is when you take a syx patch, for example; one of phenomenal FM Bass-es and pair it with Karplus module to change the physical aspect of the sound (woody, glassy, metallic, plastic,…), end so on, …

Even though it is undeniably Super Synth there is lots of space for expansion, space that needs to be filled up with small granules. ;)

Nice  ensteinian (gaborian, curtisroadsian) windowed microsonics, (AND the future depth controlling of FM7) this thing is like some kind of cousin to a waldorf iridium with so many engines

Any way to get FM7 to read TX81Z sysex files?

(Real noob on FM asking here…)

No, sorry but they are not compatible. The TX81Z was a 4 operator FM Synth with selectable waveforms in contrast to the more powerful ( IMHO ) DX7 with 6 operators but only one waveform.

Thanks for the info! I didn’t know about the difference in architecture between the models.

Even if there were no more improvements, the synth is in a very strong position right now.

If it's not continually updated then a year from now there will be the people claiming it's abandoned. 🙄

Oh I definitely agree. Those features would just take it to a whole other level, though.

It’s a powerful tool as is though and sound wise is amazing.

😂 that’s become a kind of pet peeve of mine lately. I can’t remember which one it was but in a thread a while back someone told another use not to buy an app because it’s abandoned but the last update was just under a year ago 🤦🏻‍♂️ do people think apps should be updated ever 3 months or something?

On one level it's understandable given the expectations the App Store dynamic has fostered. On another it's illogical to say that something is substandard just because continuous bug fixes aren't needed. I don't get irked by it but I can't stop myself from being "that guy" to point it out when I see it.

Same. “Purchase failed. “. Showed up anyway after Restore purchase

Keep being that guy Wim. You're doing God's work there haha!

  • Tera Pro also works great as a plug-in in Logic on the Mac but is there any way to get the IAPs I purchased on the iPad into Tera Pro on the Mac? There is no Store link in the Mac version that I could see.

You could try just to 'restore purchases' when running it on the Mac, that should work.
