If it's not continually updated then a year from now there will be the people claiming it's abandoned. 🙄

😂 that’s become a kind of pet peeve of mine lately. I can’t remember which one it was but in a thread a while back someone told another use not to buy an app because it’s abandoned but the last update was just under a year ago 🤦🏻‍♂️ do people think apps should be updated ever 3 months or something?

On one level it's understandable given the expectations the App Store dynamic has fostered. On another it's illogical to say that something is substandard just because continuous bug fixes aren't needed. I don't get irked by it but I can't stop myself from being "that guy" to point it out when I see it.

Glad I’m not the only one haha. It doesn’t keep me up at night but I do probably let it get to me more than I should. Where it really irks me is when they start petitioning people not to buy the app or besmirching the devs name because an app isn’t being updated every few months.

Tera Pro also works great as a plug-in in Logic on the Mac but is there any way to get the IAPs I purchased on the iPad into Tera Pro on the Mac? There is no Store link in the Mac version that I could see.

You could try just to 'restore purchases' when running it on the Mac, that should work.

Yep, but you have to do it in the standalone version.

  • Cool! Thanks @Samu and @qryss - that worked!

  • How does Tera behave in Logic on the iPad? I’ve been really disappointed with Bleass’s Megalit in that regard. Think I’ve held off buying Tera as long as humanly possible now.

    It's here:

  • Thanks @NeuM - I found it. I had to open it in standalone mode

i still ask myself why someone would use tera pro for playing presets.
it seems to be very important.
anyway, great addition to tera pro

To misquote Lando Calrissian: “This deal just keeps getting better all the time!”

  • Wow! Already got Tera Pro and definitely going to get the FM extension very soon. There are so many releases lately that I hardly have the time to investigate things properly. Love how this looks.

Wow, it's getting better and better! Btw, is it possible to modulate main parameters like brightness with Tera Pro own LFO/MSEG/envelope or use FM7 main envelope to shape amplitude of Brainz and other modules? Sorry my noobiness, I'm not too familiar with original architecture and haven't proper time to test FM7.

If the red modulation button is available beneath control, it’s possible to pick an internal modulation source. Those meta controls from FM7 (like ‘brightness’) you can control from external sources. I’m doing this in LP4iOS.

  • So good! @VirSyn

One request which could be fun for sound design is an additional option to use a MSEG in place of a standard ADSR envelope for the operators. Arturia DX7 has this option is their desktop clone.

  • So glad I bought this IAP now. Amazing work @VirSyn and I love that it's available for me in Logic on the Mac as well.

thanks for the mavelous looking teaser - is it too early to ask, are many of these controls modulatable as well as editable?
for example op amount being probably the one i would first be trying want,
but now what is that the op amount of?
EDIT: i guess it's the cyan red outlined op 1 meaning it is currently selected, so we are looking at the op 1 envelope etc, so if you select op 6 would you then see, its feedback level as well? probably
can algos themselves be edited or these are always faithful to those of the dx7 and thus the world of existing patches? probably faithful only right?

Maybe don't answer and just crack on with it :)

If i can apply cc74 to just some of this that'll be plenty. While most sound designers will of course be happy with the editing, it's the modulating by expression of that that i'm looking forward to.

Thanks again, this is a very big deal.

  • Graintable like maelström? That would be cool.
Or a joystick that can modulate between 4 Osc like a wavestation?
    Sampling and granular are cool…
At this point Tera Pro is pretty awesome already…so add and I’ll buy, don’t and that’s fine too :)

    Happy customer.

    Sweet! :sunglasses:

As far as I know the 'dice' selects a random preset from all of the viable FM7 available?
Would it be too much to ask for a long-tap on the dice to actually randomize actual preset values?
(Yes, I know it's tricky to create a semi-random function for an FM synth that will create a playable patch but still for 'happy accidents' it could be handy)

Also noticed that the 'macro sliders' do not changed the actual envelope values?
(This could be handy for further tweaking of a preset that has initially been adjusted with the macro sliders).

Looking forward to this, some healthy competition for KQ Dixie when it comes to creating FM sounds.

    Cheers!

    OMG, fantastic 🤗

The sliders on the right side don't show the concrete number, like the knobs do.
    Any chance to add them?

I hate visual guessing and prefer the numbers ...

if you tap on the sliders or move them you'll see the exact value in the edit window which overlays the preset name.
    Is this ok for you?

Do you mean RNG just for the selected Operator?!

RND for parameters in the preset (Algorithm, Envelopes, Operator Output Levels etc.) :sunglasses:

Also I could spot the pitch-envelope but maybe it's hiding there somewhere...

Yes, the dice randomly selects one from all. It will get more function as soon as I have a sensible way to randomly generate fm parameters, I already have an idea for this to work...

The macro slider idea I had in mind work the other way round: use a preset and then tweak it with macros...

it's hidden under the pseudo "PITCH" operator to get the gui cleaner...
