If I only spend 40 dollars on ipad apps this year.... should this bundle be it?

I bought the Moog delay and have no regrets. But for me, this year's bundle of the year is Logic Pro, with all of its synths, effects, and drummers.

    is logic pro subscription only?

Yes. Unless you spring for the desktop version, which is $200.

It depends what you already have covered.

It’s awesome that they can control each other and the phaser is definitely the best on iOS I have tried.

  • The Moogs are definitely one of the best fx buys for me this year.

  • If you're really going to spend only 40 bucks on apps over the next year, you'd have to think very carefully about that, and as mentioned, it would really depend on what you already have, what kind of taste you have, and what you're missing and need most urgently. There are some apps that it would be hard for me to live without - AUM and Gauss for example - that would take priority for me. That's just a personal example.

If you have very few apps and don't mind the missing features, you'd get most value from a logic pro subscription

  • Bought them today, and I think I’m going to be playing with these throughout the evening.

    So. Freaking. Good!

Oh cool you finally got them! I’m a big fan as well. There are definitely 3-4 standouts but I like them all.

There was always one that stood out each time I experimented with them on something, and I’m sure I will find a use for each one.

I think so far the phaser and the ring modulator are my favorites, but they’re all so good!

Funny enough the phaser has been my least favorite so far (still very very good) but I do love the Ring Mod. MuRF is my favorite of the bunch I think. But I also really like the Saturator and ClusterFlux.

    Like the phaser. Delay. Murf.

Poor UI though. Without full screen.

You keeping it tradional when its not the best option for use.

If you must appear prestige. So not cheap neons and if designing effects.

    Maybe brushed metalics.

Yeah, the UIs on these are pretty cheesy looking imo and could be far better designed if they weren't slavishly trying to look like the hardware. Still, great sound, I suppose that's the main thing

  • But yeah i would take the clean, modern and non-skeumorphic aesthetic of those new Blip Box and Phase Monkey apps over these UIs any day

  • I love the look of the Moogs, but I am a sucker for anything skeumorphic B)

I have problems only with fixed portrait orientation. 😵‍💫

Model 15 is beautiful but nearly unusable without constant, major annoyance. These fx apps are just fine. No complaints at all.

Yeah, the new apps are fine, but Model 15 would definitely benefit from an easier to use UI.

Hmm I actually really love the look of them. I like the retro modern look of the Triplex and Sketch Audio apps as well, but I think these skeuomorphic design benefits the Moog apps for once (I usually like skeuomorphic a lot less than more original designs).

    1000000000% lol

I love the sound of Model 15 and the couple IAPs I have also sound amazing, but I almost never even attempt to make my own patches with it because my brain shuts down when I look at it lol. The constant sliding around does not benefit a modular design.

yes!! It's the only modular on iOS Ive never even tried to patch, my brain just nopes straight out of it

The metal effect is far too shiny on the moogerfooger apps for my liking, but yeah, each to their own haha!

I know right I can’t stand it. Sound wise it’s among the best. I just wish it had a better UI going for it because I’d love to make patches on it lol

  • I learnt my way around synthesis on Model 15 when it was released in 2016. My first-ever synth patches were made with that synth on an iPad Air 2.

Learning on a modular synth was really useful later on, because it helped me understand all the different parameters and how they relate to each other.

Personally I don't mind the UI, and it's pretty good on a 12.9 screen.

  • Anyone noticed problems with the recall of CV connections?

The wires still show plugged in on the target and the mod amounts are recalled but the actual CV connections need to be reconnected to get things working.

It’s a bummer since the CV setup is otherwise excellently implemented but reconnecting multiple CV per project is a bit of a buzzkill to say the least…

iPad Pro M1 iOS 15.x AUM

I tried to contact Moog but their Capcha doesn’t seem to be working so I couldn’t reach them.

  • Haven’t noticed, but also - when you increase the length of sequencer steps in MURF, you cannot decrease them again. I’m pretty surprised that has not yet been fixed.

Only thing I’d like to see happen on the Model 15 is an option to make the cable connections semi-transparent. They get in the way of usability by blocking dial information.

Try doing a 2 finger double tap

I am not able to replicate this. My projects load up with the CVs connected. I'm using the Moogerfoogers in AUM on an iPad Pro 4th gen 11", and iOS 16.6.1.
