Thanks for testing.
This is what happens when I reload a project with LFO CV modulating the filter cutoff..
I noticed that the 4 letter CV identifier for each plug-in has changed when I reload the project so I wonder if this is the cause of missing connections…
I’ve asked @MoogMusicInc to have a look
I only have the one project where I'm using the CV inputs, I'll test further tonight.
I find the cryptic letter identification system annoying and pointless. As are the colored-switch icons which don't help to identify the plugins in a track.
Anyone know if @GeertBevin is still working with/at Moog?
I am, very much so!
Ah, that's good to hear!
Indeed!
I sent an email about this to moog support. A randomly generated word or short phrase would be a far better implementation. Yes, the icons colours are also top similar in some cases. When apps are loaded in AUM it's really hard to know what's what - no name is visible on the icons, just these colours. How is anyone supposed to identify the apps easily just based on that, especially when some of them are so similar in colour. This aspect was not thought through very well, in my opinion.
Agreed. It’s a PITA if you’re using a lot of them in one session and you have to tap to open the window just to see which effect it is that you’re wanting to adjust. Not sure how they missed that.
No idea but it’s really a massive oversight tbh
Definitely. If I designed the UI and tested in AUM the first thing I’d think is “man you can’t tell which one you’re using” lol
I tested the Moogerfooger CV connections again in AUM, iPad Pro 4th gen, iOS 16.6.1. I cannot replicate the issue with the CV connections disappearing, Maybe it has to do with the which of the Moog effects are connected to each other or with some other plugin in the chain?
Thanks.
It happens for me in an empty project with just filter and ringmod loaded and also in more complicated projects.
I’ve restarted my iPad etc. I’m on iOS 15 though if that could explain it!?
I’ve attached the AUM project in case anyone would like to test it for me.
Load AUM project and look at the filter, the connections at the top should show the CV modulation as yellow light intensity.
No, they aren’t lading connected - I am on iOS 17 and I just loaded this project, nothing was connected, and then I made a connection successfully. Thejn I closed the AUM session and ‘reopened last session’ - the connections were gone again. So seems it is not saving state properly @GBevin
I don’t remember it having this issue before, did it?
Cheers for testing it out..the plot thickens!
Hopefully it’s reproducible at least.
I’ve only just brought the bundle so I can’t comment on previous behaviour.
@iamspoon
I opened your AUM test project. The Moogerfooger CVs were not connected. I reconnected them, closed the project, opened a different project, closed it, then reopened your project and the connections had been saved. !!!
I have no idea what is going on. It seems like the only differences here are the iOS we're each using?
I don’t know what is happening either.
I’ve been in contact with @MoogMusicInc and they are looking into it so hopefully they can work it out somehow.
Thanks for bringing this to our attention. We've released an update for all the Moogerfooger iOS plugins today that fixes this issue.
We also updated the app icons so that it's easier to identify which Moogerfooger plugin is running in hosts that don't always display the plugin name (like AUM).

Awesome…thanks!!!! I’m right down the road in Charlotte NC and have nothing but the best wishes for y’all during this transition.🙏🏾💯❤️
Great. Any chance of a fix for murf's sequencer? Not possible currently to remove extra steps in the pattern editor once you have added them. Once added, you can toggle them on or off but you can't currently reduce the number of steps once you have increased it above 8. The manual says you should right click to set step length, which would usually translate to a long press on iOS, but long presses do nothing. I think I remember someone from Moog acknowledging that there was a problem, but don't think it ever got fixed. If it was fixed, please let me know what the method is on iOS, thnx
This is one of the next things on our list.

Thanks so much for the kind words, we truly appreciate it!

Thanks @MoogMusicInc! Some of my favorite software and hardware synths/effects of all time.
great update, thanks.
That was quick, thanks for the update!
Having an official Moog to respond in the forum and make vital updates makes me happy and confident. I wish everything the best for the people still working there and even more for those left without a job. 🫶
About those icons and naming, Moog is still standing strong in the first position of the most bland and unrecognizable icons. I just refuse to bother my brain to learn ten “different” icons named with four letter codes and a little patch of color. Yes, we get the joke. Now, please give us some sanity back! 😂
Just makes me wonder why there's no 106S?!
Yep, I also dislike these icons and the use of these names instead of names like Murf, ClusterFlux, Drive etc. It's similar to how random strings of letters are used for the identifiers in the cv system, instead of what would be a clearly superior system of using randomly generated words. It's mind boggling! But yes, good to see the Moog people in here, for sure, and I also wish nothing but the best for everyone still working there
What if the team from Bleass got inspired and moogified their icons?
Or chaps from Baby-Audio. 🫣
I very, very seldom even launch apps using icons and search for the plug-ins when I need them
So for me it really doesn't matter at all, they could even have super generic app icons.
Codenames?
