I'm someone who has to continually battle my own childish knee jerk reactions to effusive, enthusiastic, and emotional people. It's like we feel we're on a mission to correct all you irrationally expressive people. Since we don't act that way, and in fact are embarrassed by others acting that way, we get it in our heads that we have to do the world a favor by putting it down. No matter how pleased and excited about something we are, the only way we would ever express it outwardly like you do is if it was manufactured and for an ulterior motive.
Of course, there is plenty of that insincerity and hype to fuel the "realism warriors" like me. But we all know you and we know that's just you! You are that fun, goofy, and passionate guy. Don't let the stuffed shirts get you down. Trust me ... I know we think our cause is just, but we're really just a bunch of kill-joys who have a weird drive to make everyone else be like us. 😂
Tell ya what--I actually agree with your sentiment! That kind of thing bugs me a lot...and yet, human psychology demonstrates that the practice is ultimately effective and therefore has become a common and practical component of a YouTube marketing strategy. Social media is full of such distasteful practices as you have to please the algorithmic gods and do whatever you can to draw some attention to yourself if you hope to amplify your message at all.
Do you know why I'm not a famous rockstar? Because I am unwilling to play those games or really even speak in hyperbolic ways regarding the most-beautiful-music-in-the-universe that I make. Or maybe I just have no talent. Either way, too bad for me. Unfortunately, a lot of crazy or unscrupulous or despicable people are willing to do just that so their messages get amplified more than it should and that does make me sad and slightly insane. However, I'm confident that's not what's going on here...
Matt is a friendly, generous guy and a talented developer who is serving a niche community to whom he provides wonderful playthings at prices well below what they should rightfully be offered. He is absolutely deserving of your support despite your intense dislike of goofy YT photos. I appreciate your desire to try and create some positive change by wielding your power, but I do think it is misdirected if you penalize good, hardworking people just for playing by the stupid rules of social media.
Summary of my infinite wisdom: Don't hate the player, hate the game.

@analog_matt i don't know what your regular face looks like, idk if it looks stupid. I do appreciate your interesting work and methods of sharing (low priced) with the community. But, @oddSTAR i think going along with. And feeding, dumbshit algorithms (you HAVE to make dumb faces to succeed), going along with that, is stupid, it only brings about a dumber world. We are not helpless to an algorithm, we are the humans who watch the stuff, and decide what is worth our time, usually based on a thumbnail/title. Going along with THE GREAT ALGORITHMS means humans won't even try to make better material. Anyway i hope ppl have fun with this new app, may it lead to a new generation of ppl not afraid to try new things, fuck the algorithms, and lead to new colonies on Mars, where thumbnails have concise information.

Regarding user presets from D1 – King of Digital doesn't currently import them. If someone has a large D1 bank or something, you can DM me, and I could give my preset convertor here at my place a try to batch convert them.
