Riffer 3 by audiomodern desktop on sale for 19.99.
https://audioplugin.deals/product/riffer-3-by-audiomodern/ref/364/
Riffer on iOS is highly recommended by myself, all of audiomodern’s stuff is brilliant, the ui of the free AU’s is improved upon in their production suite. I would get the iOS bundle, but Mac/pc for $20?!? Yes, please!
You have multiple sequencers pulling from multiple hardware/software sources, randomization, generative, strict control- nGl, I add ripper as my first midi device on all my AUM sessions, it starts shitting out sounds immediately, and is a great muse even when you don’t feel like you need one, it’s that good. maybe my copy is just better than the others, but one of the most confident purchases I have ever made in my life. May Jesus return if any word uttered is deemed untrue.
See.
good deal
UAD Century Tube Channel Strip is free at the moment, valid 'til Sep 15th
Stagecraft Software Simple Stems currently $20 (reduced from $70). I've used this occasionally for stem separation and it's pretty accurate. https://www.stagecraftsoftware.com/products/simplestems/?coupon=FLASH

Any recommends? Grabbed the Harmonic EQ with another code found on the forum - $6aud seemed too cheap to pass up!
Hornet are great value. I have a few on the desktop and they’re easy to use and professional. I filled a few gaps for a lot cheaper than I anticipated. You don’t usually have to wait too long for a sale either and they give away occasional freebies once you’ve spent a bit.
I use TrackUtility MK2 the most. Utility plugin, but super useful.
Thanks @scrape and @StudioES

WoodValvet by WIMS $9.99

I would leave it as 'one of the best', but yeah, for this price it's a steal (sale is still on), so go grab it guys
Indeed it is.
I think it’s the best I’ve used so I’ll leave it like that — if you’ve used better it must sound incredible. :-)
Where in the chain do you guys use silver bullet?
Depends upon your use case of how you’d like to colour, but can add a wonderful flavour on the end of the master bus.
You can put it anywhere with good results, but its main purpose is to be on the mix (or master) bus, I'd say.
And that's where some serious contenders come in (in my case). I'm also very enthusiastic about the P455 MDN Sidecar from Pulsar Modular (my favourite atm). And the SSL Fusion plugins also deliver great results in terms of spatiality, detail and depth.
But it's good to have options and to be able to try out what suits the track you're working on best.
Thx!
I was kind of wondering how one might use it with channel strip emulations of ssl, Neve, api, etc. or if it’s meant to be used in lieu of those.
Mainly on the master bus, before the limiter. To add a touch of EQ, and a little colour. I’d add it after any ‘fix’ EQ to say, remove mud in the lower mids. Silver Bullet would be for more gentle, un-surgical tone shaping EQ, not for corrective EQ.
I’d usually put any (subtle) master compression after it if needed. Usually the levels will be just about right before the limiter anyway otherwise you can push a db or two with SB before hitting the limiter a bit harder if that suits the sound.
I did try it out, not as much fun as I’d hoped, here is the product page:

Pretty good Heavyocity flash sale happening now including several things at 50% off. I picked up Vocalise 3 for $60, lowest I’ve seen it yet.
Spitfire Audio is also having a 50 % off campaign going for a few days, with code CART50 (ends Aug 31).
Their orchestra libraries are quite expensive, but they also have some smaller, more experimental tools (by Hainbach or Fink for example) for $29 or $49, of which I have quite a few.
Today I snagged the one from Oliver Patrice Weder OPW for 14,51 €.

I hesitated too long on silver bullet and missed my chance. part of me is proud that I fought my GAS and FOMO, but part of me wanted to play around with dialing in the different combinations of a > n and etc. ’
There has to be a good long German word for this poignant mixture of pride and regret 😄
