    🤣

  • Wait, Friday it's available? And so the pre-order sale price is good for another day or so?

  • Does this work on the Mac, in Ableton for example?

  • Can’t wait to load this up in mirack!! So much potential there

I have not had a chance to test it on the Mac - so I didn’t release it there yet. But I fully plan to go there once I get a chance and plan to have not be a separate purchase. Does Ableton support AUv3? If so then I’d guess it would!

Yes. $24.99 until launch. $29.99 on Friday. That’s assuming that apples price and release updates happen at the exact same time. I enter that info in two different places so ya never know.

  • Thank you, @benkamen
Are you pleased with the progress? Are you "done"?
    Count me in.

  • Are stereo samples supported?

done is a state of mind haha.....

I'm very happy with it. I love the new features and I think it's more fun than ever to make music with. Of course, there's always gonna be some kinks to iron out and things that fall through the cracks with such a big endeavor - just make sure you tell me about them so I can fix em.

if you remember from patterning 1 and 2, new things will be added over time as point releases. (eg. cloud kits, loop pages, etc). I've started a list on the discord of features I'm hoping to add. the truth is that I run out of time and at some point need to hand it over to you all. when I'm deciding what to prioritize before launch, it's always stability that I have to focus on. if there's something that I can add after launch "easily" .... it's more likely to get put off. There's def some things in that category. The main one I know people on this forum will be upset about is that the AU parameters are not yet exposed. please don't come at me with a pitchfork about it - but feel free to tell me how important it is to you. I rebuilt the entire MIDI mappings architecture with that in mind, so it's something that I should be able to do "quickly" - fingers crossed. I just ran out of time. That's number one on my list once I get through the initial launch period.

That's one of the features on the roadmap!

  • This is gonna be awesome.

  • This is going to be arguably the best drum machine on iOS from what I’ve heard, read, and seen.

(I can’t stand the AppStore, I wish they would allow dev to sell from their own site or whatever)

  • Yes! If you’re in the Pacific Northwest come say hi. It’s gonna be pretty low key.

And for those whose ears pricked up at the worrisome thought of AU parameters not yet exposed: the app has two built-in LFO's (per track, I assume?).

In the words of my favorite comedian:
    Sure, I'll join your cult!

  • And for those whose ears pricked up at the worrisome thought of AU parameters not yet exposed: the app has two built-in LFO's (per track, I assume?).

They're actually for the whole pattern/drum kit - I thought it made more musical sense to have them be able to control more than one instrument at a time. It'd be cool to have the option to make it either pattern or track, though.

  • I've just started playing with it. I really like it so far. I didn't have the previous versions, but for the most part I've been able to just pick it up and use most of the features without reading the manual, which says a lot about the user interface. Nice job @benkamen !

  • is it too early to start refreshing the app store to wait until it drops 😝🤣

Maybe go through P2 and export your onps files so you can use them in P3?
