Thank you !!
Thanks.
A few people have mentioned that OneShot uses a lot of CPU, is this true even if one turns off its internal effects? (Normally, sample players are light on CPU)
Klevgrand are a bit high for samples. If compared to some drum synths like FAC drum ( I think also Blip box )
With an ok ipad.
It would be fine.
The type of music you make.
The quality of the samples, you get.
An ipad 9.
256 and 128 buffer in aum.
About 30%.
Who would buy this app for the samples to be played in other samplers?
I submitted a bug request to Klevgrand. I’m surprised no else has mentioned this.
Anyone else using OneShot with Logic that has tried to add multiple outputs?.
Someone asked on another forum if oneshot has any kits set up for general midi
Anyone tried multiouts in Auria pro?
Or may be via AUM into auria?
Theres only 9 in aum and drambo. So would only be 9 in auria because its also says 9 in the apps, output menu.
Hence another reason why Im trying to see what samples will be like outside of oneshot.
Drambo zone sampler seems hit or miss.
So wonder why iv got 2gb of oneshot on ipad.
With no access to files iv bought.
It would be easier for me ( If I do decide I want more integration with host )
To just get inferior samples online ?
What a faff, is the sampling, to trigger a sample business vs synthesis.
Me lol
What do you mean by general midi ?
You think its ok to just sample without velocity layers ?
Why have they hidden the files from samplecrate ?
Would it be this way for say native instrunent libraries ?
That you can only view library, via the vst/app ?
Edit.
I got 4 velocity layers.
We rollin.
Yes, most of the Kits are setup like in the GM drum standard. For sequencing OneShot! i am currently using Octagon’s 16 lane GM midi setup.
Thanks!
It is a standard MIDI drum mapping. A web search will yield more info.
@sigma79
9 outs at once would be ok for me.
That was me and that's good to know.
Iv decided to sample and forgo round robins etc for the sake of host integration.
And hopefully.
Although theres 10 Fac drum AU.
3 Blipbox AU.
FX etc.
Bass synth.
The usual drum kit tied to Faderfox Pc12, EC4 and Launchpad X.
When I wish to finger drum the sample tracks ( 15 tracks only )
I can set the ipad to 256 buffer. Not really use the electronic audio unit drums and not crash the ipad.
I assume it will crash though.
?
@espiegel123 I understood it that way, that it was @NeuM that asked this question in the other forum you mentioned and that my answer that most kits are in GM layout is good to know
I see. I was asking on behalf of someone in a Loopy Pro discussion on another site.
I see. Either way, the question has now been answered. Cheers.
GM, they work perfectly with Logics drummer. Load a drummer, point midi to OneShot and you have a great way to test different beats.
Sampling the samples.
Wil let you know if I recommend the samples.
Edit.
I recommend the samples.
Just at the crashes.
Cant synth create. The crashes.
Bingo
Tnx @Gavinski that did the trick!
The multi out settings need to be global (unless I’m
missing something). You set them up, change a kit, and they are lost. Shooting Klevgrand an email.
I think I just found my new favorite drum kit.
Oooo dish! Which one? I’m still rolling thru em all so i haven’t found The One. Tho, Motown has taken a quick lead. Had to back to back compare with Motown drumdrops. OneShot got a bit more umph without losing the subtle flatness (Motown from DD was my finger drum practice kit for a number of months… may have a new one…)
Edit: biggest surprise so far. The first one under Soul/R&b (blue something?)
Never used a kit like this, never thought to… immediately had three patterns I’ve never tapped out before. Like, I typically roll with a 8/8 or 6/8, couple of fills to hear toms, ride and rim, random end. Feel the kit, hear all pieces played ‘naturally’*
This kit… was not that. And three just dirty, head nod inducing runs. I do mellow. My mind flows on mellow
This was fuuuuuun
*uh… well there’s the vid I’m gonna do tonight. Just go thru acoustic, maybe acoustic and jazz, and do my personal trials so y’all can hear played like a kit rather than sequenced (really hear the insane work put into the vl and rr sample recording!)
Sadly, no video of the actual playing, can only screen record. Current goal is a camera for showing play and some budget hardware tutorials as ive been building and learnding. All pocket money is going to that fund as we speak xD
