Yes, I kind of wish it just had the regular old multi-out where multi-out 1 would play Slot 1, multi-out 2 would play Slot 2, etc.

Ugh. I hate it when apps are like that. I don't want to have to set up a host output for every. single. hit. I want to have the flexibility to have everything going to a default output then pick and choose which slots I decide to send to additional outputs. And I want to be able to send more than one slot to each output.

As you always say, I guess the devs can’t satisfy everyone, true. But, as pointed out, with the current system in oneshot, when u set up multi out and change preset, all your multi-out settings are lost (I’m talking about switching between factory presets, obvs)

Ahh crap, I was envisioning piping Funk Drummer midi into Oneshot and then flipping through it's presets. Guess it is a skipper for me.

I haven't dove (dived? Diven?) dipped my toes into more than playing presets, but if it's only effecting factory presets, couldn't a workaround (until fixed) be simply resaving the preset as a user preset?

Yeah saving your own presets works but change output/s and re-saving 600+ factory presets is not an option but for the one with plenty of drugs.😂

Hehe, yah I need to ration my drugs for work.

Maybe that option for the multi-output should have been on it's own menu, setting up the 24 slots however you want in that regard.

Edit: I emailed them about: Ableton Link, Background Audio and the Multi-Out issue.

Cool cool, thanks for giving them the heads up!

    Hey, it's only 195 presets!

But fair point none the less 😅

(Honestly I misunderstood and thought Gus just wanted to be able to save a single factory preset's MultiOuts and run thru Funk Drummers presets

I misattributed which plugin was "it's", though a reread, it's obvious. Yay dyslexia!)

I get this error after importing expansion presets\slots, anyone that’s gotten them have a tip? If I click load on the slot and reselect it everything is peachy, but I'm not about to do that for all the roughly 120 slots just for 8 kits.

Question about that layout… I take it this is Loopy in standalone mode? What are you using as the sequence driver? The Drambo instance?

Yeah Loopy in standalone, I swap between Drambo and Prism for midi sequencing, both work a treat!

  • I read everything. But seems my english is too bad. Can anybody explain how it is to get 9 multi outs from Aum into Auria pro?
Is it possible? Triggered by one Auria miditrack. Is that possible?

I'm not sure how that would work in practice. There don't have to be 24 slots in every preset. You can have just a couple of slots if you want. You can re-order them. You can put any kind of sound you want in any of them. I don't see how a global output setting could work with those kinds of variables.

I would think that it's in a more project based setting you wanna change preset at all in a song and to fuck up a lot of functionality for that occasion is dumb, I agree.

A simple 6x4 grid with same menu [ST OUT] as a quiet option when it occurs .. I dunno, I'm old and I'm tired♫

I also submitted a ticket about multi-outputs not showing up in Logic. Hope they figure out that one too.

  • Hello.
Does anybody know if the free slammer and ting extensions (you get them when you bought the desktop apps) can be added to oneshot on ios? I only see download for mac and windows, which doesnt work.

There is no cross compatibility and separate licenses for desktop and iOS so I don't think so.

Purely an explanation of my misread, your description is sound

I skim, then get excited if an idea pops in my head and miss additional key points or swap bits I thought I read 😅 (uh... Yeah... Also because of age... Not my labrador-levels of excitement that take over proper thought and motor function for most of my life)

Oh man, no need to apologize. I thought it would be funny that the issue is having to edit and re-save 600+ presets was the problem

And that 'only' 195 would be an ok, acceptable number. Like that's the game changer

  • Regarding the quality of the kits…
I was looking forward to the arrival of OneShot as we were lacking on a good app for multi-layered, acoustic drums. Besides a couple of bugs and issues that I hope get solved soon, OneShot has delivered.
I had zero expectations about the included kits. Didn’t even think about it, I just thought I’d add my own samples (Deumdrops or whatever). If anything, I expected to find your typical boring “Stadium and Rock drums” presets just because.
To my initial surprise, the included presets are numerous and superb. If in doubt, checkout @PapaBPoppin video where he demoes a bunch. The included kits sound great, very natural, I much prefer them over the Logic drums which are a lot more processed and “muffled”. The number of velocity layer samples per slot is huge.
In conclusion, the app alone is well worth the price. It has the best and most comprehensive implementation of multi-layers and round robin, plus a very well laid-out UI and a very intelligent, capable and unique “trigger” system for mapping and control. Plus an immense out-of-the-box amount of options to tweak and add randomness and dynamics to the sounds.
But to add all these kits for 20€?. That’s ridiculous. That’s the “on sale, special offer” price of one kit from any decent library with these many articulations.

To summarize it all - Klevgrand is an extraordinary developing company with so many great apps!!

And, as you mention, the drumkits sounds freakin’ good!

  • I think this is one very rare app, one that's very easy to mess up by adding effects ... Damn! It sounds so good, still in floating on clouds and I have had it on desktop since the release there (not much used though).

    Thanks for the mention!

This is exactly what has me thru the roof about this app. I'm not trying to do much else with it (yet) other than use the sounds supplied, and I'm still overwhelmed by the amount of quality kits available for a $30 price tag. And at $20, that's the price of ONE kit from Drumdrops

And I'm a HUGE fan of Drumdrops, been a regular returning member over the past year

Now, I completely understand the issues people are facing on the ui and routing ends

The un-moving windowed UI with controls PAINFULLY tiny to use for any extended amount of time....

But that's not a UNusability issue for me as I am making loopy controls for faster/easier control methods that I won't be needing to touch the UI to control what I need to (yes, workarounds shouldn't be needed, but it's super helpful that the options to do so are there. Rather than hitting a brick wall of a completely unusable featuee)

And I'm so far from utilizing multi in/out that... That can be added later and it's not a detriment to MY purchase at THIS point, but a potentially great feature for the future

But all use cases, requirements, needs, and expectations are so varied on a case-by-case basis, I'm greatful to hear everything I just don't look for that are issues in this plugin I see as so monumental

And while I can't wait to see what gets fixed, as it is now, this opens a huge door for new producers that crave these well-crafted kits but don't know where to go to collect em, or figure out how to use them (AudioLayer is the closest Ive used, and importing esx24 packs is a handful of steps that... When learned isn't bad

But Jesus it's a series of steps that, missing one will just jumble shit weird xD

    Tonight and this weekend..
(had to take yesterday off for my birthday, and this morning I need to tear thru noobs in ranked in Marvel Vs Capcom 2 that rereleased yesterday on switch [also a bday present]. I'm a 25yr long MvC2 vet that mourned it's death and literal zero chance of return in 2013. They brought it back and its my time to shine)..
I'll be correcting audio issues on the back end (now with 100% more Luf leveling!) and putting out a new folder demo!

I've been obsessively thinking about it (and trying sit down with it) all week!

This is less promotion of a new video, but more appreciation for the people that have said they liked it, because I had a BLAST doing it and am looking forward to even sitting down to play thru em

Trying to work out a cam situation to, so I can get the physical playing included, but probably not for the next one

This was why I queried the sale price (30% off, or 30% of the full price?) near the beginning of this thread, there's just a ridiculous amount of kit (excuse the pun) if the full price is only going to be a tenner more than say, Skaka.

I'm loving it, and particularly enjoying delving into kit making with my own samples - you can have a whole bunch of fun with just a handful of pads.

This is definitely a pricey app on desktop - 150 bucks if I remember. But the iOS price, especially at intro, is genuinely a fabulous bargain. Likely “app of the year”

I am so scared of Shiney New Thing cause sparkly things are the coolest thing ever to me. I have never thought about an App Of The Year for personal use

However, I have been planning a 'Learn Finger Drumming On A Budget' featuring the SMC-Pad for one and Velocity Keyboard for the other... And this app has completely changed the landscape for this project, and will be prominently featured (and probably gushed about. Because shiney!!)

I will certainly be bringing up the issues, not trying to proclaim Resurrection v2 for iOS 17.1 or anything (before I record, I'll start a thread for topics of those glaring issues, just so im not ignorantly running my mouth. Maybe gain some extra traction towards fixes? Just brainstorming)

So, dunno if I can say App Of The Year, but depending on what else it's up against (in a poll structure for online voting), I can't think of anything I'd vote harder on xD

    Side note:
I've talked a lot about 'lack of camera' but as I type this, I have paused finalizing of what I'll be getting, and should have one this weekend or next... Things are on the move!

(I also have plans to show expressive swam play on a mobile budget. Got a handful of options for that ;))

  • The responses to OneShot are interesting. People overwhelmingly seem to be happy with the kits, but elsewhere I’ve seen someone say how disappointed they were about the kicks and snares compared to DigiStix 2 which surprised me.

I am curious as to whether there are others that feel that way or if that is an outlier opinion.

Also, any thoughts about which, if any, of the paid add-on kits are must-haves.

I personally think the Jazz kit is great Ed, but the jazz kits that come with the app are excellent also. The rest, I am not sure I would say must-have, but they are all nice enough in their own way. The kalimba and glockenspiel are nice. The kalimba sounds a bit different from Pianoteq kalimba. Pianoteq has some advantages like ability to use sustain pedal and more range. Cajon is an instrument I like but the Cajon pack here doesn’t grab me much, I don’t know why. The Unholy Drums pack sounds good and could certainly be used for more than metal and rock I think. Matter of personal taste perhaps. Again, the kits that come with the app are already so good and so diverse. Overall, I am not sure at all that any of the extra packs are ‘must have’, if pushed to give an answer.

  • Have we yet solved the question why the GUI has a broad black area on top of the app?

    Hello.
Does anybody know if the free slammer and ting extensions (you get them when you bought the desktop apps) can be added to oneshot on ios? I only see download for mac and windows, which doesnt work.

There is no cross compatibility and separate licenses for desktop and iOS so I don't think so.

Ah ok. I thought maybe it is possible, cause the other extensions have to be bought for desktop too and can be installed for ios.

The responses to OneShot are interesting.

Tx!

I still can’t bring myself to pay extra for a kalimba soundpack though…

You can get a kalimba on Amazon for 5$ 😂 and make all the sound. Sampling a kalimba to play on pads is silly…. when you can just record the dang thing for 5$ 😂
