Is there no way to insert markers on the timeline? How can I find particular sections of a project? If there aren’t any, seems like an odd thing to leave out.

No markers yet, but that's okay. I just use a "dummy" track (a MIDI track with the default acoustic piano sound), lay out empty MIDI clips, and name them that way. It's how I'm building my current piece of Ambient.

Thanks for the idea Oh Maker of Music! Before Cubasis I've been using Audio Evolution which has a good marker system I was used to and just expected it to be there. I'm just getting familiar with cubasis.

I got familiar with Cubasis a couple months ago. I didn't care for it regarding EDM production, but for me personally that's not where it shines. Just finished a 45+ minute piece of Ambient. Will upload it later. Taking a short break from production. 😂

ps. Can anyone confirm that have the same issue in the standalone version of "Iconica Sketch" on iPad?

No issue here on iPad Pro M1 with iPadOS 18.3. BETA2

@danbun Thank you for comment. That this issue looks on my iPad: YOUTUBE_1 and YOUTUBE_2. I am pressing the keyboard non-stop, and when I additionally press and hold the modulators, it stops playing.

I have older iPad Pro 10.2", but I can not to check Iconia Sketch on it, because of too old iPadOS version 15.1 (I could upgrade to 17.7.3, but I want to stay on older version)

    @LFS Dear Lars,
I didn't read the whole thread and I don't know if anyone mentioned it, but I found a bug in "Iconica Sketch" - it apear in the standalone version on the iPad (iPad Pro 11" M1 with iPadOS 17.6.1). When I press and hold PITCH or MOD on the screen, I can't play the keyboard on the screen at the same time - the keys don't respond, the yellow color doesn't appear on the keys and the sounds don't play. I reinstalled the app and restarted the iPad, but it didn't help.

    ...

On the same time in the AUv3 version of "Iconia Sketch" in Garageband on iPad the app works correctly - probably because the keyboard comes from Garageband.

On the iPhone (13 Mini with iOS 18.O) in standalone version of "Icona Sketch" everything is OK.

    Kind regards, Dakti

    Hi @dakti

    Thanks for your message.

Gave the issue a short check on the iPad Mini Gen 6 with iPadOS 18.2.1 where things work as expected.

Does the issue also occur when you touch the wheels, or while turning a parameter knob or holding down the articulation button (while playing the keyboard)?

    Best,
    Lars

@LFS In Iconica Sketch for iPad, what is the difference between the Level and Main parameter on every instrument? To me they seem to be identical, only effecting the output sound level.

I was hoping Level or Main could also influence for instance vibrato depth. For Violins I, there is practically speaking zero difference between the sustain and sustain vibrato articulations.

    Dear Lars @LFS,

Thank you for the answer. In the screenshot at the end I marked 3 zones: green, yellow and red.

    • Green
When I press and hold the BUTTONS, I can play the keyboard
When I press and move the BUTTONS, I can play the keyboard

    • Yellow
When I press and hold the KNOBS, I can play the keyboard
When I press and move the KNOBS, I can NOT play the keyboard

    • Red
When I press and hold the PITCH or MOD, I can NOT play the keyboard
When I press and move the PITCH or MOD, I can NOT play the keyboard

Please note that this concern only standalone version of the app. Just out of curiosity, am I the only one who has reported this problem? :) Did I find an easter egg and win something? ;)

    Kind regards, Dakti
