    I share your thoughts on this. The two volume controls also perplexed me but I use the 'level' knob for expression control and use the 'main' knob to set the basic volume of the voice so that it's not too loud or soft while using expression. hope that makes sense.
    The vibrato articulations don't really seem to do anything.
    One more vexation for me is that the sustained voices like legato don't use velocity like the staccato voices. I don't see why they can't have that as well as expression.

    Level
    Sets the volume of the articulation. By default, the articulations are pre-balanced.

    Main
    Sets the overall volume of the instrument.
    This setting affects the entire instrument, not just the selected articulation.

    @LFS it appears that automation values are hidden by the horizontal scale slider on iPad. I didn't even know these values were displayed until I had a quick play on iPhone (don't usually use iPhone for Cubasis work) after the update. The iPhone doesn't display this slider. Is there a way to hide that slider?

    Cubasis questions.

    I can obviously get cubasis to see all the inputs of an audio interface ? ( its an audio4c ) Unsure if I need loads yet, which the audio4c can supply.

    If I must continue to use an ipad specifically for drums.

    Is it easy enough to make Drambo patterns and if you need to sync to edit patterns ( A Drambo ipad with a Cubasis ipad ) Just create loop sections in cubasis so it loops with a chosen Drambo pattern ( until making audio copies )

    Its just to get most out of 3 ipads and or see about different ways to use.

    Basically just use an ipad with its own midi for synths. Capture audio in Cubasis.

    Same with a drum ipad.

    The obious issue to start.

    Is usually when you open a host.

    A White slider appears, which means audio interface is in use with host.

    Although its showing in Cubasis

    The slider needs to activate to be the 2nd device opened, for it to work.

    Its cool.

    Tracks are muted by default.
