I remember hearing Jeremy Clarkson say once that Charlie Watts bought all these really expensive cars but didn't have a license. He would just run the motor and listen to it.

Hehe, sounds like Perc -> Haunted Racetrack preset from Phase84 Retronym

That's what I'm planning to do with Cyclop, I'll never use it in a track, just occasionally fire it up and listen to the presets.

I think we should start a Club. A dozen or so lost souls, scattered around the world, no real friends, no hope, but on the last Friday of every month we all fire up Cyclop and feel its terrible tremble. Maybe a little chanting from Bukowski. Kind of like the Illuminati, but more sekrit.

    haha...true :) I was thinking about a ww2 submarine command center.

There's an album in that. Throw in a country track about ice cream vans and we've got a hit single, too

I played with the PC demo earlier, I was quite impressed - it's not all dubstep and no knickers, there's some good pads, arps and industrial things in there too. More versatile than I thoughf, assuming the iOS version is the same as the PC thing

I don't know? I thought there is no Hot Keys, that is the difference.

  • Come on guys. I need a few more comments to push me over the edge.

It's OK, but I prefer my hardware version.

  • Are there any videos of cyclop being more musical in the context of a whole song?

I'd recommend trying the demo if you have a PC - looks and sounds almost the same as the iOS version.

I would say that if you bought this, you'd never need to buy another gritty, industrial, wobbly synth again - it covers all the basses*

I'm 75% tempted to buy, up 25% after trying the demo, will have another go today as I only got up to 'c' on the presets.

    *see what I did there?

  • People who prefer to have wild guitar amp simulation, may find Cyclop synthesizer bass interesting!

The game screen randomizes every parameters, you can get the sounds you has never expected, by playing the games. Transfomer engine samples selection also being randomized! Once you find the sounds you like, you stop hitting the game to further tweaking your favorite and save the presets!

I see myself will use Waldorf Attack iPad to play around and make dance music, I certainly will import Cyclop sound samples to make Attack rhythms more interesting!

This app is really good for amatuers, there is less confusions to the synth signals flows, you will understand what will be behaviored, so it increase your creativity and productivity! If you play Waldorf Nave, PPG, Thor, Tera, Z3ta+! Inexperienced users will end up lose parameters control. But Cyclop is operational easy, it will not breaking your heart!
