Anyone know how to get imported loops to sync with the track?
OMG I fear the wurst is yet to come
I see this developer added support for Link.
Haven't tried yet, but my guess is only "Apple loops" will tempo sync. It is Apple we're talking about here...
With that said, is there any way to save out your own samples in Apple loop format? Can Reaper do it or some other freeware out there?
You can use the Apple Loops Utility mentioned by @u0421793 on the previous page.

Eww
If the sausage is the musical output, is this the latest wearable tech ?
it's time other developers get on board and starting porting instruments and FX apps to AU support, AU just works and is less stress than IAA an AB.
"Just works" sounds good!

Haha personally I think @lukesleepwalker is the wiener of this round!
Hmmm...less is more i guess...the update piqued my interest...will wait for Gadget on iPhone i think....
The vegetable will respond to you.
I think I'll spend some time actually reading the documentation for this update to GarageBand so I can take advantage of the loop/timeline work flow they've created. It's interesting to see how quickly some people want to put the app into the same ole GarageBand that's useless box before they even know how to use it. The recent thread did show that the forum is dominated by the 40+ crowd so perhaps not being able to teach an old dog new tricks applies here. How useful is knowing what you can do with an app versus what you'd like to do with it or what you think it can do?
It might be more of a matter of what people might expect of the dev. In this case, it's a high bar. I like it, but the size is what turns me off the most.
Doing just that @Paul. The in-app help is pretty good. Recording in cells with instruments is awesome.
Tapping on wrench and scrolling to bottom brings up updated help manual.
I say, you've really thrown down the gauntlet there!
For what it's worth, I agree that the new features are welcome, and worth exploring.
I created a song which continuously crashes the GarageBand app. To restore functionality, I had to go into settings and switched on Reset GarageBand.
iPad Air seems to have problems handling more than just a few loops, as well as handling more than one or two au instances
I'm having this as well. Air1. Pity, as the 'instrument into cell' is a creative development.
Have started a whiteboard opposite my desk with the title 'Reasons It's Perfectly Reasonable Not To Say Essential That I Deserve An iPad Pro And Soon'.
Mmhh, so can someone make a test how far an iPad Pro can go here! PLEASE!!!
Because i need more real case stress tests instead of theoretical power!
I agree! PLEASE, someone, indulge yourself and show off as much as you like, we want to see you in your full and glorious power etc
is there a thread somewhere deep down in the Apple forums where they actually read bug reports, suggestions, complaints?I doubt they are reading this thread.
Sure, but you will never get an answer beside a general "we are aware and working on it" or ignoring you just
Also it don't have to be a bug in this case.... Maybe just cpu/ram/performance issues.
Working nicely on Air 2 here.
doesn't matter, usually you don't get better answers from other companies anyway (korg,Roland...).As long as they are aware of it...
@Crabman that's good point about reporting issues to the developer regardless of whether you expect to receive a reply or not. I'll try to recreate my crash song so I can forward the information on.
Bug free software seems impossible these day (like my latest experience with my Seaboard and the software update shows me). Not sure if developement is to complex or beta testers doesn´t test or whatever it is but today half the time is solving problems intstead of creating content.
I often think about to get away and sell all my music stuff because it starts just to eat up my money and nerves!
Maybe just do iPhone only tracks again with apps which works still like ThumbJam and NanoStudio lol.
I have the feeling things will even go worse in the future!
I know it´s normal but i´m still a "bad" customers and doesn´t accept to wait months for fixes.... if ever!
