Thank you @illo
One other question: is it possible to use multiples instances of the same module? For example, if I wanted to stack two of the same reverb or effect can I do that?
Yes, you could stack up to six!
Thank you, @PhilW
I think you can stack 8?
Sorry, don’t know why I said 6 and not 8! I just added 8 Room Reverbs to a rack and it performed fine on my 1st gen iPad Pro.
thats a lot of reverb 😮
It’s a reverber8.
🤣🤣🤣
Nice
so this is IOS Ipad only right now. does anyone know if it will be universal soon? I’d love to have this on the go as well
Has anyone tried to sidechain with Mixbox in AUv3 mode? The sidechain option seems to be missing when in AUv3 mode
Been wondering that too
@Paa89 @Bob
Works fine..... see this video and go to the time stamp on side chain... @Gavinski does a great job in this video tutorial!!
How could I have missed this!!! Thanks @onerez !!!
Awesome video, @Gavinski explains it all.
changes from external controllers are not saved to presets. Someone else have issue
I found this to be helpful.
Hi Gang
Can the Mixbox module parameters be automated in Cubasis?
Thanks.
Yes
Many thanks
Dumb questions...
Does mixbox CS work with stereo inputs? I'm hoping it doesn't convert the input to mono or anything like that.
Also... mixBox looks very utilitarian... but is it a good creative effects tool? And does it come with some fun weird creative presets? I don't have the need of creating a really good final mix on my iPad, but I do like inspiring creative plug-ins with nice presets as starting points. I'm sure it's a great investment though... just don't know I should spend my Christmas cash on other wackier plug-ins... ;P
Thanks!
p.s. I don't record guitar or vocals... more about using field recordings, synths, and strange sample based instruments... not sure this would be useful for me.
MixBox is stereo. In standalone you can configure stereo and mono for each of the rack slots.
There are a lot of presets for each effect, and a lot of rack presets, including spaces such as Piano on Venus and Granular Ego.
The built in presets are not that whacky but of course you could build whacky things by combining fx modules in interesting ways, no question about it. But if you want creative and whacky stuff right out of the box, so to speak, it wouldn't be your first choice I'd say. You'd probably want to get all the apesoft and amazing noises stuff first if you don't have them already.
Thanks! Those spaces presets sound interesting. I have some ApeSoft stuff but should probably try apeDelay and apeFilter. I did pick up NuRack, Modley, and Saturn2recently, so maybe mix box is less needed? I do like the idea of owning these very classic solid performers and some of the demo racks/chains sound really impressive.
Arrrrrrrrrgggghhhhh! :P Lucky me that this is the problem I am faced with.
@stown I think MixBox is a good deal with a lot of creative potential. Get it now before the price hike. You won't be sorry. However, based on what you have and your desire to shake things up, I also recommend Looperator or another sequenced FX.
Get Effectrix and Turnado instead. 👍🏼
Thanks everyone! Will continue to investigate mixBox CS and some of these other possibilities. Thanks! Had forgot about Turnado ;P Hmmmm
Mixbox just took Viking synth to 11 with the presets from Syntronik

@BCKeys I think they were all inspired by the hardware
