  • Updated. "Restore purchases" doesn't restore the "Upgrade to Full" IAP so I've effectively lost access. If you truly depend on MixBox I recommend not updating until we hear from IK.

  • WTF @ikmultimedia It says I have to repurchase the Upgrade I already bought at full price. The Restore Button doesn't do anything.

    What's going on here!

    Bad bad bad User Experience.

Yeah, @ikmultimedia really has some explanation to do...

Is this the moment when we'll say bye bye to IK and let them R.I.P.??

Apparently Mixbox CS is now a 'free' app with IAP...
...I'm currently updating and really hope I don't have to 'buy' the IAP to keep everything...

@ikmultimedia Please explain this 'strategic decision', it's BAD PRACTICE!

You already own everything if you bought the original. Why would you have to pay again? If this is accurate, I’m guessing only new buyers would have to pay for the extras.

Just in case, I turned off automatic updates until I find out what’s going on here.

  • Yeah, this is BS...I dropped a mint on this when it came out. They need to fix this. WTH is going on with this build they just pushed out and why are they forcing users who already paid to pay again @ikmultimedia

We're paying for their being a single app now?

I guess IK needs to update something on their end to allow the IAP to be restored for those that I've already purchased the full app, but that is not happening at the moment.

fwiw, a reboot of the device does nothing to fix this issue of restoring purchases.

Please let us know how this will be fixed @ikmultimedia

    Thanks.

I was about to purchase it.
Good thing that I held back.

This isn't cool setting aside my personal interest.

Agreed, the first wave of purchasers paid full whack and for it now to be IAP
with existing users having to pay again for IAP's isn't cool in the slightest.

I'm going to sit back on this one.
@ikmultimedia needs to do some explaining and at the very least
provide a way for existing users to continue using what they actually paid for.

I am hoping it's a freaking bug honestly. Normally I wouldn't be riled up about this, but this was a big cost for me on the iOS and macOS platform to fit this app in to my workflow. Please fix this @ikmultimedia and let us know what's going on.

  • I really hope this is a mistake. I got burned by them with syntronik before

  • @ikmultimedia so I took a chance and ended up paying again - $85. I’ll get a refund. This is f’ed up!

I presume you tapped the “Restore In-App Purchases”?

But I 'lost' what I already paid for, almost everything is 'greyed out'.
I'll just try to calm my nerves and posted a warning about this over at ipadmusicians FB group as well...

  • What a bad joke from IK… :#

The Restore button does nothing. Nothing is Restored. It is forcing you to Purchase again.

It has to be a bug where it's ignoring existing Owners purchases. Is that right @ikmultimedia

Jeez. I paid the full amount for MixBox CS on desktop and on iOS. I’m not upgrading until this is sorted out.

  • Yeah, I am pissed at myself for hitting Update in the App Store.

That is tantamount to fraud. I’ll join a class-action lawsuit if that is being considered.

  • They better fix this before the one-star reviews come pouring in…

    Really?

It hasn't changed here on the U.K App Store as yet.

    Wow.

    Confirmed..

And furthermore if a user purchased it now?
Then they will be paying the current App Store price
and an extra £69.99 to upgrade to full.

    @ikmultimedia
At the very least make an announcement.

Feel free to ask here on Twitter as well:

I’d be going ballistic if this happened to me without my knowledge. Frankly, the last two projects I tried to use MixBox CS on macOS crashed every time I tried to use it. I assumed there was some problem I was not detecting at the time. And this looks like a deliberate crippling of function to extort users out of more money. I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt until proven otherwise, but it does not look good right now.

Well, let us know if you get a reply...
...they can't cover this thing up for too long.

My guess is they will ask you to open a support case and/or drain your patience to the grave...
(They can't send out enough promo-codes to cover for everyone who has 'bought' the app).

They know exactly who bought the app because of their product registration process.

Done, hopefully just an oversight, though they could be trying to claw back some perceived losses from the group buy…

Yeah, @ipadbeatmaking Avoid updating since this is part of your workflow...like I said, I really hope this is a bug, and not what they intended since nothing new is present in this UPDATE....

UPDATE does not equal PAY AGAIN ya know.

I know so they could send an 'apology' to all registered users but so far no e-mails...
