I am just hoping it was a new dev who pushed out this update...
...and really hope we'll see a fix ASAP to resolve the Restore Bug...because it has t be a BUG @ikmultimedia
It is AppStore practice that you should not pay for something that you already have purchased before. There recently was a case about notability who wanted to switch to a priced subscription but that got reverted for owners that purchased the full app before. I would expect that this is a bad mistake by IK Multimedia on the restore functionality. They can’t make you pay for something again that you have purchased before. Very bad reputation for @IK_Multimedia
Isn’t it like 8:00 pm in Germany? They’re in Germany, right?
I asked them on a Facebook post of theirs and they deleted my comment
Interesting approach to customer service.
IK official support forum is as lame as always...
...I'd be totally ashamed to work for a company like that...
Thanks...posted my Tweet to Facebook as well...
So, still after 8 pm there.

I can't seem to reply or post though. SQL error.
Well that’s positive, Peter seems fairly unequivocal that prior purchases will be retained…
Finally something brings the forum together again 😆
Good. Peter is on this. He’s usually pretty responsive.
Jeez, what an epic mess-up by IK multimedia. Thankfully I did not have automatic updates turned on.
I was able to post on their Forum...so it might be better to post there until this is fixed.![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
I’ve turned mine off again. This time permanently.
Omg got automatically updated and now I have the free version…
Oh, man. Not good. You are a registered fully-paid user of the app?
Sounds like it's a bug based on Peters feedback on their forum...perhaps a Propogation issue...
Most likely yes, since the previous version was a 'full' paid version...
It’s possible one could be a fully paid user and still not be registered. Registration is a separate process from the purchase on iOS. I found this out long after I first purchased the iOS version and subsequently registered.
Yeah...on iOS, the Paid Purchase isn't tied to the users IK Registration...it's tied to the AppleID Account on device...
Posted the above back in December 2020….. took a year but they back at it. 😕.
I paid full price for this app one time and they say this is a free app now and I should pay it again. Is it a joke, seriously?
Can we ask Apple to refund? Any ideas?
They say they’re working on a fix. Hold on for now.
seems it's a bug from the IK Forum...
Thanks for the info @NeuM and @echoopera.
It's now free with IAP's on the U.K. store.
I remember you posting this and because of this and other comments
and my own reservations I was holding back in buying it until recently
when the price dropped.
I thought to myself, "at that price it would be worth it", even at full whack it's worth it.
Now after seeing this happen as mentioned before I'm glad I didn't rush in.
Ok, I'll give up for now and wait until this issue is 'solved'.
I tried to 'register' the app with the serial that I have for it on my IK account and got an error.
(This would be one way for IK to verify that the person who downloads the 'free' app has a license for it).
Take Care...
If you don't currently own it, this update won't make a difference. It's still a great app for a new user and the price won't be changing unless they have a surprise sale or something.
