This is all really fantastic. Can’t wait! 🤩

  • Holy crap I thought it was just AUv3 support. This really speeds up the workflow I've been using Riffler for!

  • I’m amazed that this isn’t an IAP. That’s super generous.

  • @jon_bell just wanted to say thank you mate. I just bought riffler and I’m totally blow away by the quality of its output.

Can’t wait to for v2 and would be more than happy tipping the jar.

  • I stopped listening to others’ metal ever since I bought the app I only listen to my own made metal 🤘🏻

    I thought I was the only one…

Not that the music I’m making is better than what I’m inspired by, but I’ve found myself spending less time listening to that and more time trying to do something like it. Not sure if it’s something that is common for those who get into this.

Absolute legend @jon_bell. Riffler is such a wild and creative tool. Stupid question that may have already been covered. Will the AU work in Logic on M1 macs? Will be tipping any available jar for you my man.

Unfortunately not. The iOS version works as a standalone app on Mac but crashes if it's loaded into a DAW.

I'm planning on launching a separate Mac version with VST and AUv3 support shortly after the iOS version is finished.

Cool. Whatever it takes to get platform parity.

  • @jon_bell : Any chance of getting some jazz guitar riffs and Stylles in the future ?

  • Yeah that's something I'd love to add in the future.

I was hoping to have it finished a bit sooner but I'm aiming for the end of this month now.

  • An amazing app, thank your for time/effort .

That's great news and hopefully a way you earn some more well deserved income for your awesome work. I know I'll ne snapping up the desktop version when it arrives. Thanks Jon.

Oh, that would be a nice add-on pack.

In fact, Strum GS-2 from Applied Acoustics (only available on desktop) already has something like this for their acoustic/electric modeled guitar software (which is pretty great, by the way). Would be nice to see what Jonathan Bell comes up with to compete.

  • Just saw this. Not sure how many people follow on Twitter but I am really excited for this update!

  • Great news. Well done.

  • Nearly done! Taking much longer than planned though!

  • I am sure it will be worth the wait!

I keep hoping they will bring strum to iOS

Would be great to have more real competition in this niche space.

  • Had a weird thought at work ( still there). I was wondering if someone using the new note editor in version 2 could create a riff that could satisfy the tone match function for Bias FX 2. I really like the default guitar sound but I think it would be interesting to send the dry output through the Bias FX 2 tone matcher and see if it could sound more like a Strat, a Les Paul, a Tele, etc.
    Just a thought.

  • the twitter is full of teasers! so excited for this update!
