    Huge if true!

  • I had to look if it was April 1st, really check the domain of the URL and confirm in macrumors.com before I believed it

A reminder that the developer of Samplr now works for Apple.

Logic Pro on iPad comes with a massive collection of realistic-sounding instruments and powerful synths including Sample Alchemy — a new sample manipulation instrument that can transform any audio sample with the tap of a finger.

Look at this screenshot. Something familiar, eh? Look at the modes in the middle (Classic/Loop/Scrub/Bow/Arp).

$49 per year isn’t bad though - if I had a bigger, newer iPad I’d be tempted. I’ve never really used it on desktop, but being able to use my iPad apps with it would be a whole different ball game.

Yeah, I reckon that’s not too bad

This is the best news ever... for those moaning about subscription, get over it... it's the future. Only $4.99 per month for Logic (first month is free too) ! That's a coffee per month only. Yah!!!!

Here's the (genuine) apple website: https://www.apple.com/logic-pro-for-ipad/

I’ve always ruled out subscriptions, but when I upgrade to a better iPad I’ll find this hard to resist…

  • I presume all our existing AUv3 apps will work with this?

  • Subscription based, smart move Apple ;)

  • So it’s really happening. I would be so excited if there wasn’t that little S word again. Come on Apple! I’ll pay you 100 or even 200 but don’t make me pay that subscription fee!!

I do hope so. Also hope my 8gb M1 iPad Air 5 is up to the task.

    And…it’s subscription. Heh…saw that coming.

Edit: Just saw the other thread. Carry on.

  • …thinking about all the shit Ali took a few weeks ago 🙄

  • Subscriptions lol. Thinking I'm good. 😄

  • It’s finally happening!

  • I like subscription. I don’t work with the same software all year long, like to rotate my interest in life often. Anytime i feel like doing a project for a few weeks I pay five dollars. Fantastic for me.

  • Yeah, I’m not surprised about the subscription. They’d be leaving money in the table if it was a one time purchase.

I am curious if they’ll move the Mac version to this model, making it a universal version.

  • Nothing wrong with this subscription based model. I assume/hope that it will be free for the MacOS Logic Pro owners?!
