This is really strange.. payed again 1 month sub back in july (needed to do sone tests of BS) - it expired in early august ..

Thing is.. Logic is still fully working :-)))) Sub is now more than month expired but no sign of Logic on my iPad noticing it lol 😂😂

    Hmmm…
That’s unethical of you to use LP4i without paying poor Apple for this! 😀😀😂😂

I’m assuming you’re still using logic yeah? I’m really warming up to it a lot these days. I see the hype now lol

Yeah, Logic Pro for iPad is unbeatable if we look at the whole shebangs in comparison to Cubasis and Roland Zenbeats…

Speaking for myself, the first thing we tend to do with a new DAW is to try and do something we are used to doing, in the same way we’re used to. Which usually ends in a lot of frustration.

Sometimes we see enough to want to keep digging in and working out the strengths of the app and learn to adapt our approach to the new way. Sometimes we don’t get past the first impressions that it doesn’t do what we want in exactly the way we want it to. And then come here and complain about how crap it is as it doesn’t do exactly what we want it to in the exact way we wanted it to work.

I’m lucky that it is Logic Pro released on iPad rather than say Reaper or Live as I already got past the ‘doesn’t work how I want it to’ stage about three decades ago. And if I recall correctly it was quite a struggle to get on with Logic in the early days. But I knew it was worth the effort as the main features that made me want to try it in the first place were truly ‘game changing ‘ at the time.

I’d definitely be in camp ‘frustrated’ if I had to learn a new methodology.

A lot of the things I see people complaining about with Logic are things I can understand but on the whole don’t slow me down so much as the rest of the app is exactly what I’m used to, other than using fingers and thumbs instead of a mouse and keyboard.

I fully understand the frustrations too. There are certain apps I’ve tried on the iPad that were nothing but frustrating for me yet loved by others around here. Some apps I think are objectively awful, others just subjectively so. But all awful none the less

And I’m pretty sure the EULA from Logic v1.0 I agreed to at the time makes it illegal for me to even look at Cubase. ;-)

So yeah I think Logic for iPad is the mutts nuttts. But I can understand why not everybody thinks so. Even when they’re wrong.

😂😂 I totally feel you on that. At the end of the day, everyone has their own workflow that inspires them and I’m happy we have sooo many choices on iOS.

I’ll admit I was in the “hater” camp for logic for the first few weeks. It just didn’t click. Then one day it all just randomly hit me at once and made me realize “wow this is absolutely fantastic”.

I’m sure it’s only gonna get better and better from here as well. After using Cubasis, ZenBeats, GarageBand, etc for so long, I feel like Logic is the most “professional” feeling DAW we have. Zenbeats is close and C3 and NS2 are great, but for me Logic wins. When it comes to clip launching and mixing stems, it’s really excels above all.

Haha, why would Logic Pro be better on iOS than the desktop version? 😉

I wouldn't be able to run this on my now ancient iMac (2019). It can't even run a single "clean" mastering preset without stuttering and shutting down altogether. These new features, will they run on my 2019 iPad Pro? Or is this simply more Apple BS to get us to buy hardware some of us can't afford? I need to know if these new features are gonna work on my iPad Pro before plunking down for a subscription.

Chroma saturation Stem splitter is the only feature requiring an M series chip due to the ML cores for machine learning afaik. The other features are just quicker on a more powerful chip or tax those less CPU/GPU wise.

  • M-series Apple silicon is recommended when using Session Players on iPad.
M-series Apple silicon is required when using Stem Splitter on iPad and Mac.
M-series Apple silicon is recommended when using ChromaGlow on iPad. M-series Apple silicon is required when using ChromaGlow on Mac.

The whole reason I bought the m1 iPad was just for this moment. It’s finally time to try Logic [2]….

(And ill still say Cubasis is/will remain a/“the” benchmark or gold standard for iOS lol, but I’m just a little too “must own license” type of guys)****
