@Gavinski @sinosoidal Ok, so wait.. to be clear; it CAN be used as an auv3 plugin? With the exception that you cannot load auv3’s.
Yes!
Thanks!![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
Ah, thnx for the correction!
Good thing for BAM; it’s not modular, not in the sense of miRack or Drambo. So people who don’t like to cope with all modular shenanigans can relax. What you got is insert slots, like on every other DAW. So essentially, this is a cute little grooveboxy DAW-like music-making wonder. 😌
Exactly
I like miRack and Drambo and find modular intriguing but don't have or want to spend the time needed to learn it. BAM is great to get something going quickly, love the clip based workflow (Ableton Live user on desktop).
Ah, now this suddenly got interesting...
This could take the iOS Groovebox crown when it's released, I think it will be very popular, just for it's ease of use and quick workflow, I can see me using this as my main DAW on desktop too, especially if VST/AU plugin hosting is implemented and sample slicing and audio clips features get added in the desktop app.
I feel the same way. This sits so nice between Drambo and Grooverider.
Watching the youtube demo from Imaginando it reminds me somehow of Korg Gadget’s sequencer.
Could someone post a screen shot of the ‘ amazing oldskool acid bass synth that is sure to take you to a higher state of consciousness’.
I'm hoping it looks as good as it sounds 🤩
The difference is that in BAM you can play any clip from any scene independently, which is really important for live performance. You can’t do that in Gadget.
it has 2 build in lfos and envelopes per channel and you can modulate with them multiple parameters of other plugins (including auv3) which is pretty smart and not that common in other daw / groovevox apps .. at least i don’t know about any except of Drambo and AUM where you can do this.
Here it fuzzywell is. No Pitch/Tuning knob on it or a square/saw wave selector for some reason? Maybe that happens somewhere else.

does the onboard sequencer have probability, ratchet/retrigger/roll, frequency (play every 3rd beat, etc) features?
cant wait til this is released and i can play around with it!
You have to touch the name “Hofmann”, this will open up the pop up for the engine.
There you can dial in the settings.
hofmann
great name for an acid synth!

Ah yeah, damn, I thought I was commenting on the miniBit thread lol, thnx, will remove
Maybe u can remove the quote from your reply btw? Otherwise the pic will still be there in your reply, cheers
@Gavinski the 🍃 must be good today 😂
Also when you have opened full popup of plugin, you can tap the 4 quares icon on small view and all 8 knobs get dashed line border - then tap on knob on small view, tweak the knoib on big popup and you cange what knbob is shown in small view - so you can define your own small view
Just an image to support your post![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
You can automate some parameters for triggers, see the upper left "Trigger".
Frequency of a trigger is not possible.
Is the Pitch/Tuning knob - a much loved feature on the 303 - also available for selection?
There is no Pitch/Tuning knob in Hofmann, only the knobs that are shown.
Lol.... Haven't actually had a single toke since I got to Thailand despite it being legal here, believe it or not.
It might not have been a feature on the original acid machine, but I do like the added sub on Hofmann, gives the sound abit of grit even without the distortion added, it has a great acid sound.
