It’s a shame there’s no drag and drop in this now that Logic Pro has a file browser. It’s the sort of app you want to quickly audition samples as you build a kit.
Does Klevgrand ever read here? Is it worth me trying to contact them?
I don't think I ever seen a representative here so no, but, yes always on contact.
Great! I’ve emailed them so 🤞
EDIT: ignore this - it seems to be a problem across Logic Pro for me. Very odd.
I’ve also noticed if I use the ‘add audio’ button in the slot edit dialogue, I then can’t select any files.
Anyone else seeing this? It might have already been mentioned.
I’m getting this whenever I bring my own samples in, then reload the project. Nearly every time.
I’m not saving the kit into Oneshot, just changing a couple of samples in an auv3 instance.
Anyone getting this? Have you reported it?
only had oneshot for a week or so, and only tried importing a few samples and saving one kit - but I did get that message too. I haven't investigated more - figured it was something I didn't do right. Hopefully someone here has an answer...
You should report it to Klevgrand even if others have. I have seen other people mention running into it. The more data points Klevgrand has the better.
I’ve reported the bug through the Klevgrand website. Might be worth you doing the same if you’ve got a moment.
It’s a shame as I love the features of this app and want it to be my go to drum app in Logic.
I did report it to Klevgrad. I had a lengthy exchange with support. The short if it is they told me to move my samples to the Oneshot folder. I reply I don't have one. They told me to open the stand alone version and export some presets and it did create the folder.
Now I have to test moving my samples in that folder but I been too busy with other stuff to try it.
Ah nice one. I’ve just exported my test kit which has also created the folder, so let’s see if that makes any difference on its own. If not I’ll try moving the samples into that folder.
@yellow_eyez
I got Oneshot a while back.
It is the best sounding acoustic drum sampleback app on iOS right now.
I'm definitely going to be using it in my productions in future.
Thanks for the recommendation.
I’m so happy to hear you got and like it - I find it to be the best drum VST too man. Very glad to see you around and happy Easter brother
Likewise brother.
Is their a way to trigger two samples from one trigger (midi note). I want to have Linmdrum adding to a accoustic kit. I use midi beats I bought, I don't want to double all the midi note to trigger both kits.
I hope I am being clear. Not sure I am 😁
Not with one instance of Oneshot, because you can't have two different sample slots assigned to the same midi note. So would need to use two instances of Oneshot with the sample slots both assigned the same midi note. Then if you really want to be fancy send both instances to the same mix buss then sample the combined sound into one wave file to import back into oneshot as a single wave of a massive drum hit.
Hi,
Or you could use a midi app to change the note the Linn is sending. But be aware, some sequencers don't like overlapping same pitch. Like beatmaker3.
So I heard back from their support. They said they’re working on an update with batch save and export, but for now you have to save kits and slots as in this video:
I don’t see why the samples can’t just be stored alongside the auv3 instance just like so many other apps. I might be misunderstanding what they mean.
Thank you for the follow up. I might wait for the update as I am busy with other stuff than music.
Yes, yes. Quite some time ago. It seems it could be some time, if ever, that there will be an easy way to transfer kits you make between one platform and another. It's a single disappointment for an otherwise top tier app. But it's a big issue for me.
Tis a bit of a disappointment. I wonder if just saving the individual slots is enough. That would probably fit my workflow well. I’m not bothered about creating and saving full kits.
