Nice update.. Step Record.. Would be nice to see ‘live record’ now.. for all of these great midi app..
Thanks..
Really cool update .however i am really missing the slide option when step recording .
Write it in the youtube comments, best way to get 4pockets developer attention.
Ah, so if you don't see the long press icon- update app. I really dig the step input option. Thx Paul!
Del..
This option is available in Thesys.. both Step and Live recording.. switch..
I sent Riffer into this in step record mode, hit play in AUM, and it recorded the notes sent from Riffer fine. You can try live recording in step record mode with the host transport running, might be good enough for now.
Thanks, seems it works somewhat.. The ‘note offs’ will not record.. so you are not getting a true recording of the sequence… But the potential of a recorded sequence processed in MiDistep seems incredible…
Thanks..
Thanks i will do that.
Yes, I've looked at the manual, but it's looooong, so please can someone help me?
I want to have 2 or 3 instances of Midistep open in AUM, each instance sending to a different midi channel on my Digitone.
How can I change the midi output to a separate channel for each instance?
@Kashi In Settings, scroll to the bottom to Output MIDI Channel
Awesome!
Thanks @GRiker
Did something happen with midistep or aum on iPhone? The size is all jacked and can't really use it on my phone anymore. It use to size properly now all of the window options is framing the interface so small.
Sucks man
Example....
Check MidiStep Settings | Force Full Screen.
If that’s OFF, resize the window vertically to collapse the MidiStep UI to half-height.
@GRiker dude, you rock. I disabled force full screen and I'm able to read shit now.
Really man, big frrggen thanks for helping me with that. I primarily use MidiStep on my iPhone, and this is exactly what I needed.
I owe you a drink
Can I map midistep patterns to buttons in the Loopy Pro customizable canvas? So I can trigger changes?
Yes. First, enable Midi CC control in MidiStep Settings. Then have the actions for your buttons to Send Midi CC 54 to MidiStep. The values 0-15 select patterns 1-16 respectively.
HINT: You can quickly set up a radio button grid using the
Items Sourcefeature. Tap to add, then set the dialog box up as follows: The result will be a grid of 16 buttons already set up properly.I watched the price go up on this sucker in real time on AppRaven yesterday.
My wishlist:
When Auv3 half window and at the bottom area i don't see which steps are active. When i want to manually edit chords, i always have to page back to the top to check active steps. So would be nice eg colored "CHD' fonts where steps are on. Or a grey color for inactive steps at Chord cursors maybe?
I don't find lock option to block some steps from randomization. It would be specially useful to not loose a good chord while randomizing other steps. Maybe a step lock would be logical for this thing.
Step Copy inside a pattern. Maybe from one pattern to an other also would be nice. I like the one tap /two tap solution for step preview. One could stay for preview and the other for copy/paste a step maybe?
When resetting steps/notes means all steps ON. For a second press it could be set all OFF instead of ON. As same note in 16 steps can be annonying sometimes. Or as an "reset habit" option in preferences.
