While this is a bummer, I Challenge everyone on this thread to spend the time they would waste on posting and following this thread to make music, without MixBox.
I actually make music in BM3 since a few hours (without Mixbox) reading this thread from time to time thinking I’m happy to not have updated this app I bought a few months ago on sale… and that I barely use because I didn’t really get inspired enough by its sound to dig into it… So I’m glad that my tracks are not impacted at all!!!
Good point.
And also totally not Apple’s fault that testing IAP behaviour in beta is limited…
Surely they could have avoided all this by simply releasing CS as a separate app, like they did with Syntronik?
😂 exactly
I blame Trump.
You mean that 30 seconds? I may need more time than that.
I blame Hitler!
The fre version doen't do AUv3??? they are crazy
That pretty much how everyone else does it
they are all crazy XD
But with some time “the D” got you covered!
I'm genuinely curious on how IK plans to 'fix' this...
...the only way to make 'IAP Restore' work is to ask Apple to 'fake' the IAP purchase for everyone who has purchased a version prior to 1.3.0.
They have a promotion at the moment where you get MixBox for iPad free (full version) with any hardware purchase over €99. You register the app then apply the promotion on IK Multimedia's website.
So it would appear that they have a mechanism to enable the full version IAP without using the App Store already. That could potentially be a solution to those of us that have already purchased and registered MixBox for iPad?
I that cases it doesn't even have to be an 'Apple IAP' it could just be a verification against IK servers...
...but once checked against IK it likely has to be added/registered as proper Apple IAP so it can be 'restored' on all devices using the same AppleID and as far as I know an IAP can not be both 'free' and 'paid' at the same time.
Oh well, hope they sort it out before Christmas...
The free version 1.3 works as an AUv3 in AUM for me.
I was able one time to get an AppStore refund for a full of bugs app with silent dev, and it was outside normal window, perhaps one month after purchase. If it’s not fixed, I will ask for sure.
Lurssen Mastering Console wasn’t able to export to AAC 320 for perhaps one year, they never fixed it despite my reports, it has been fixed with an iOS update… I had hesitations to buy Mixbox just because of that, ahh and also my bricked first gen BlueBoard because of their bad laptop update process.
Yepp, it works as an AUv3 with the limited set of modules.
It’s 3:30 in the afternoon in Italy, and I’m starting to feel like maybe this isn’t an easily solved technical problem.
(And also feeling some profound sympathy for the lower-level people on the product management team who are no doubt being given incomprehensible and contradictory instructions by their bosses.)
While not helping updaters, it's kind of ironic that IK screwed up with an update that was not even intended to add any value to the existing product whatsoever, only try and squeeze more money out of it.
Agreed, the irony is strong here.
Every company makes mistakes. What they do to fix their mistakes is what matters. They’re working on it.

We’re currently working on a solution here that may require an app update. However, if you’re affected by this issue, please contact IK Support and they will be able to resolve this for you. You will not lose your purchase nor your presets. Fortunately this resolution will restore everything back to normal for you.
Maybe true but not as many plugin companies have been around as long as IK, made as many mistakes, pissed off so many customers etc. After 20 years you can't really call them mistakes any more.
Everything worked in TestFlight and during all phases of testing, including restored purchases. We're not happy with this being quite a surprise and are working on the issue including working with Apple to get everything to where it should have been based on our testing.
Thanks @ikmultimedia for the update. Itching to do some mixing with MixBox. Natives always get restless when they can't get their fix...and MixBox is wonderful
We're just missing that goodness in our productions these past 3 days. Sounds like we'll be back on the horse soon. Good luck to you all on resolving it.
