  • We need a collective effort

  • I thought this sudden change in the IK responses to 1-star reviews was ‘interesting’ (notice they stopped referring to sessions loading fine!!)

  • I have made a refund yesterday

I received a response from IK on Facebook.

Just start leaving 1 Star reviews on the AppStore until it’s fixed. I lost all my presets cause of this nonsense and all my older projects No longer open so there was no way to recover these Presets.

It seems that IK is happy with it's 1.3.2 update… so, I don't think they will change anything more.
I've read (on IK forum I think?) that with iPadOS 15.2 + Mixbox 1.3.2 the standalone app can now be used fully without been connected to internet ; can someone confirm this ?

    Yes, I can confirm that.

Cool thank you... so for ones like me that have never used the app and have 0 project using it in any app or DAW, there is no more real problem to update.

Unless IK were to reverse the plug-in ID change, which seems increasingly unlikely

I’m hedging for now, I’ll keep 1.2 on my iPad until there is a feature update of any interest. This has at least learned me to turn off automatic updates!

    Same!

  • The user and all related content has been deleted.

Why would a dev want to change an ID?

Deafening silence. I agree the change is absolutely inexplicable.

Maybe they started off thinking it was going to be a different product and then plans changed and they forgot to change it back. Has anyone said what the two ID's were in the 4 character code format?

You know, if you're not ever going to update, you're in the same boat as people who get a refund. The app remains on your ipad but you'll never be able to update. Do with that information what you will.

Never said never. Just don’t want to migrate songs from 1.2 to 1.3 then have to do it again - until there are new features no need to do so. The fact my wife’s install has auto-updated will quite likely force my hand at some point…

  • I thought this would blow over and be resolved by this time. Incredible.

I am still on 1.2, if I go in my songs and save presets. Can I then upgrade and still find my presets to fix my songs ?

From what I gather, not if you save presets in the host. I’ve not tested saving in MixBox 1.2 then reloading in 1.3 has anyone else? (I could borrow my wife’s iPad to test this if helpful)

  • If preset saved in the app yes, you should be able to get them back. If saved in AUM, you could edit plugin ID to match and be able to get them back too.
The issue is with the project, which can only be restored in NS2.

The updates offer no other improvements except the free/IAP features. So why would you want to upgrade (hate using that word for a simple software update).

It’s probably just a semantics thing, you knew what they meant regardless

Yes, I knew. But Apple has taken to it, "Upgrade to iPadOS 15.2", with the suggestion that somehow real benefit will follow, instead of just maybe fixing a few bugs. I don't hate the poster, I just dislike the choice of wording, likely taken from the AppStore description.

  • Woke up, got some tea.. and left my first ever 1 star review, lol
Come on IK, let’s make this right.

  • From the team:

We’re aware of an issue that started with MixBox CS v1.3.0, where previous sessions from v1.2.0 and earlier were not recalling properly.

If you updated to v1.3.0 from v1.2.0 or earlier, you may have received an error stating missing or invalid plugin. We’re able to address this issue and are working on an update that resolves this along with other bugs reported by users.

We apologize again for the inconvenience and thank all of those who patiently waited while we worked to resolve these issues.

As a reminder, try not to save over those older sessions or delete your app as that will erase your presets if it’s not backed up.

  • Maybe somebody at IK can you tell me why when the app was upgraded every single instance of used in a AUM editor insists the app does not exist. in other words IK has rendered this app useless. I’ve never heard of this before. I paid a lot of money for this plug-in, so I can say this pretty much theft.

Easy, tiger. An accidental screw up does not equal theft. Read the post above yours. Hopefully a fix is incoming. Even if a fix isn’t possible, it’s not theft.

  • Version 1.3.3 is out:

  • I think I’ll keep the pre-IKapocalypse version until it’s worth to update

  • Not updating yet.

  • Scsrewed up Update again
