Already mentioned in Page 3 and will be fixed for next update
@FredAntonCorvest can I suggest an ‘All’ category here?
Reason being, if I use the filter for something like reverb, it’d be great to see all available auv3s that match that filter in one list, rather than split by categories
BTW... About the whole categories thing, I think we need to recognise the complexity of app categorisation.
This is where the filtering function is helpful. So for example when you use the aube keyboard extension to search through fx apps, and then use its internal function to search for 'delay', then click on the time tab, you will see delays listed. But if you next click on the spectral tab, you will see apps that have a spectral delay function (oops, well - in theory - because I just looked now and Magic Delay is not there yet for some reason though it definitely deserves to be listed as a spectral delay.......
I'd imagine a fair bit of work will be involved in getting things classified correctly, in some cases. Still useful and with great future potential too.
It's perfectly fine, the following remarks are more general for anyone reading about Cubasis and Subscription:
@Lars is already aware about the need of a search text field and it's not only for AUBE is for our basic usage for any keyboard, swiping so many AUv3 to find something is not ideal unless you use @Samu method To be clear, I don't know if the feature will be added or not in Cubasis. I just submitted the idea.
The database update is actually free during the early versions of AUBE. You got already a lot of AUv3 classified in v1.0, I m adding more for 1.1 without extra cost (so will be available via classic App Store release). As soon as I add the auto update feature in the app (so no need to wait for a new App Store version) I ll make those feature payable, don t know yet the details because the feature is not in the app. You have to understand that maintaining a database is not easy, new AUv3 pop ups every X.
I've tried to answer for the most, but in general:
The missing apps like Dials and Reels are now in the database, along with others you sent. Will be available in the next update.
Not quoting your suggestions, does not mean it won’t be take into account. No need to push what has already been mentioned here, I’ve filled my backlog with most of them, I have to evaluate and prioritise them across my next sprints.
May goal now for 1.1 is bug fixing!
@gregsmith Thank you for sharing about filtering!
I agree, so I think an all category would take care of times you want to just see all your delays, which I’d imagine is most of the time.
Being able to narrow down further by category is also useful of course.
Just please don’t make it a monthly subscription. An IAP for a db update every now and then perhaps? Or a one off IAP to enable db updates?
The S word makes everyone run for the hills round here! 😉
Alternatively us users could all help maintain the db? I’d happily suggest categories and filters for apps I’m submitting that aren’t yet listed and I’m sure lots of others would too.
Yes Greg, an 'all' tab would be great
Even if users push info here and there, collision must be handled. Users can share same AUv3 with different description... How to handled everything, how to certify what is good or not. I want to keep things simple. But your are right I used the S word, it may be a consumable IAP... as I said I don't know yet but I wanted to mention it since the beginning to be clear about it.
@LFS any chance of a search bar in Cubasis ‘soonish’? 👆 I’m sure many Cubasis users would love to be able to use AUBE.
Naive question: how do you update Aube if you subsequently download apps after the initial scan?
Also: can confirm Dials isn’t showing up even though I have it installed.
All explained on the website!
Working on the next version! Will be available soon

This sounds very promising, Fred.
Random picker for the win!
The new update is great @FredAntonCorvest especially with the offloaded apps greyed out.
The new all category makes filtering much easier too.
This app has quickly become an essential part of my workflow and I’m remembering and using apps I haven’t used for ages
👏👏👏
Finally downloaded and was surprised I only had 498 lol. A lot more obviously counting IAA, hosts, utilities, no connectivity apps, etc. I’m sure they number is only gonna go up though lol
Also surprising but also not surprising, effects take up the vast majority of my AUs. I have a weak spot for effects I’ll admit.
Did some spring cleaning and got down to 183. While the app isn’t perfect in terms of categorization, I appreciate the total number I had. I feel better and able to do something productive. This will also help me in terms of future purchases. Does the app do something unique that I don’t already have. We each have our own stories and how we choose to do. None is right. If you have fun and make noise, carry on.
@FredAntonCorvest I found the same developer under 2 different name tabs: Ik Multimedia <-> ikmm
Hi, thank you for reporting. This is the manufacturer name provided by the AUv3. This is something that should be fixed by the dev. I was surprised that some did not provide a manufacturer name at all, and sometimes the name on the App Store has nothing to do with the one in the AUv3 😕
Time is flying, v1.1 released on March 21, v1.2 released on March 28 and v1.3 is almost raedy!
Stay tuned for more features to come, AUBE is constantly improving!
This was one of your ideas, if I remember correctly ?
Thank you for your great support, and great inputs!
Indeed. And I can confidently say it already saved me quite some money by reminding me how many apps of a certain type I already have before adding another one to the arsenal. I now routinely consult it before buying anything new 😀
Indeed! And thank you so much for implementing it Fred, it makes this app a no-brainer. So useful to finally have this option in host apps.
@FredAntonCorvest would it be possible to add a feature “MIDI” to the effects category ? I find it odd to see MIDI processors listed under instruments.
I’ll say, I’m using this app for more than I expected. Especially when it comes to effects, as I have so many that all offer something different. It’s great!
Thank you for your great feedbacks!
A new AUBE update is available on the App Store!
→ Last database version 1.3.0
→ New store providing early access to the latest database version via a consumable in-app purchase
• The latest version of the database is included for FREE in each new AUBE app version provided via the App Store. There is no schedule defined, a new version is released when new features are added or bugs fixed
• You can get early access to the latest database version via a consumable in-app purchase! Obviously, there is no update to buy because the new AUBE version 1.3 includes the latest database version!
• Warning I strongly advice you to switch ON iCloud Keychain on each device linked to your Apple ID! This will ensure that your future consumable in-app purchase is available to all your devices!
Check the details on http://fredantoncorvest.com/AudioUnitBoxExplorer.html and read both the “settings” and “It is worth mentioning that..." sections

Unnecessary comment, deleted.
This looks to be a great app. I bought it and did a quick test. It shows I have 337 apps but my very first search revealed what might be a bug, as GlitchScaper isn’t in the list. Does anyone know how soon new apps get added to the AUBE list?
You have to submit them, there's a tab for it in the app. You need to create a nickname also to submit something. It's all described on the website.
But if course it's also not a bug - the database is updated manually by the dev.
